“JESUS ALWAYS” BY SARAH YOUNG WINS 2018 CHRISTIAN BOOK OF THE YEAR
By Marcia Montenegro.

Sarah Young’s bestselling “Jesus Always” (Thomas Nelson), one in a series of devotionals, won the 2018 Christian Book of the Year. See https://bit.ly/2JVaRey

Before this book came out, Bible Gateway introduced it by emailing the first several devotionals to anyone signing up for them. Having read and written on “Jesus Calling,” I signed up in order to read them and comment, and then I wrote posts on the devotionals for days 1, 3, and 4 (links below).

As far as I know, all of Sarah Young’s Jesus devotionals put words in the mouth of Jesus. In the first edition, she claimed she listened to hear Jesus speak, and then wrote down what he said (this was altered in the later 10th anniversary edition – see links to my articles below).

Here are my main objections (includes objections to “Jesus Calling”)

1) Young claimed Jesus gave her these words (this was claimed in the preface to the first book and I quote her) which means they would be equal to Scripture. It also means Scripture as given in the Bible is insufficient.

2) Young writes the devotional parts as though Jesus said the words — even if one argues that Young is not claiming Jesus said them, this is literally putting words in Jesus’ mouth. This raises issues of speaking for Jesus (or appearing to) and can lead to confusion for new believers, unbelievers, undiscerning believers.

3) Many of the things this Jesus says are seriously inconsistent with the character of Christ or with Scripture. I give specific examples in my articles.

4) Young writes that she was inspired to listen for Jesus by the book “God Calling,” which is at odds with Christianity! I have a section in my articles on “God Calling.” If Young was inspired by this book, which she calls a “treasure,” this is evidence of a serious lack of discernment, so how can we trust what she writes supposedly from Jesus in any of her books?

5) How can this be Jesus when the words coming out of his mouth (as written in these books) are so trite and sappy? In contrast, the words of Jesus in the Gospels shine with profound wisdom and piercing insight. To attribute the cloying words we see in Young’s book to Jesus demeans him.

6) Attributing words to Jesus that he did not say violates several serious biblical principles and commands.

Jesus Always by Sarah Young

Young’s Books for Children.

Even more disturbing are the children’s versions of these books. For January 1, in the children’s version of Jesus Always, “Jesus” says:

==I have placed signs of My loving Presence all throughout your day. Do you see them? The smile of a friend, the gift of a small flower blooming in a sidewalk crack, a hug from someone who loves you.==From “look inside” feature on Amazon

Comments from CANA:

It is very close to pantheism to equate a friend’s smile or a flower to God’s presence. If there is no smile that day, or there is a dead flower, or if it’s a terrible day and the child is sick or suffers in some way, what then? What happens to God’s presence — does it mean he’s not there? Does it mean his presence is not loving? Can we only know God’s presence through the good, and not the bad? These are false promises and false signs and could cause a child to stumble in faith.

A child should not be taught to look for God’s presence in random objects or people. Rather, a child should learn who God is from the Bible, and that his love is there no matter what happens, good or bad. A child can learn that:

1) We know God cannot be contained and so he is present in creation, but he is distinct from it

2) We know God is with us through faith in Christ

3) Creation shows there is a Creator, but God is not part of creation (Romans 1)

4) We learn to trust God through knowing him and what he has done, and we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)

These ideas can be taught to children gently and carefully from God’s word.

Biblical Theism teaches God to be both transcendent — beyond the created world — and present in the world, or immanent. God is omnipresent (present everywhere) because He cannot be contained in any one locality: “Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest?” (Is. 66:1; see also 1 Kings 8:27; 2 Chron. 2:6; Ps. 139:7-10; Jer. 23: 23-24; Acts 17:24).==(from CANA article on One Thousand Gifts at https://bit.ly/2MLAUmi

Another issue is that the books imply that it is supposedly Jesus who is speaking. So will not a child think this is like reading the Bible and equate these words to those in the Bible? I don’t see how a child would not do so. If the child is told that it’s not really Jesus, that it’s only what he might say, then that is confusing as well. If Jesus is not saying these things, why write them as though he is?

I briefly looked through a few other pages and it’s the same repetitive superficiality found in Jesus Always and Jesus Calling for adults. No matter what the words may be, the major issues remain raised in the objections above.

We are to measure spiritual teachings — especially any said to be from Jesus himself! — by God’s word, not by our feelings or if we think it is comforting, and these books fail in many ways.

Truths on Astral Projection by Steven Bancarz: Famous Ex New Ager.

Steven Bancarz was a famous and hugely influential New Ager. He recently produced this video on the truths of Astral Projection.

Astral Projection is a common practice in the New Age movement, where a person willfully disconnects their soul (or astral body) from their physical body and travels around in a parallel plane.
In this video, we look evidence that this practice is dangerous, demonic, and may even launch a person into one of the “heavenly places,” in the “air,” where demons dwell according to the book of Ephesians.

Are Demons, Fallen Angels, Unclean and Elemental Spirits all Different Beings? By Deliverance Minister, Mark Hunnemann.

Are demons, ghosts, fallen angels, earthbound spirits, elemental spirits, spirit guides all different beings? Scripture shows that they are all one and the same: demons. The bible is ultra clear on this topic! Although angels have many ranks and job descriptions they are still all angels. The Bible tells us all we need to know about demons/fallen angels including how to rid our homes/ourselves of them, and anything outside of what the Bible says is merely speculation. Drawing theory from extrabiblical sources and taking scripture way out of context is deception.

The case is clearly made from Matt 25, Rev 12, and 16 that devils and angels are the same as demons, etc. Many however take, for example, other books such as the book of Enoch and teachings on nephillim, placing them as a template over the bible and thus read all content through an unbiblical lense. To elevate books such as Enoch above scripture is dangerous.

Mark Hunnemann, my friend, Deliverance Minister, author, and frequent radio guest outlines this truth below.

Demons, Fallen Angels, Unclean Spirits and Elemental Spirits by Deliverance Minister, Mark Hunnemann.

SUMMARY:

”Demons, unclean spirits, fallen angels, and elemental spirits are biblically synonymous. Through a thorough comparing of scripture with scripture, a clear picture emerges. We need to rightly divide all of God’s Word, and how can we fight a foe we are confused about? There is much confusion and error regarding this issue, but the bible allows us to speak with certitude, without being arrogant. Being teachable is a vital aspect of discipleship. Only God’s Word can settle this issue. Nobody, no matter how much experience, is infallible–and our five senses certainly cannot tell us who populates the spirit realm. Just as Satan has several names, so does his subordinates. Jesus disarmed them on the cross”. Col. 2:15 Rev. Mark Hunnemann.”

Please See Mark’s Video Below:

FULL TRANSCRIPT TAKEN FROM VIDEO:

Demons, unclean spirits, and fallen angels are identical in scripture. (elemental spirits too)
I am not dealing with demons per se—their origin, fall, nature, and destiny. I do not like to speak of my demonic experiences..have peered over the rim of hell. One does not battle the demonic without being forever changed.

A debate…a BIG debate rages amongst not only paranormal investigators but also amongst pastors, Christian deliverance ministers, and Christians in general as to the is the identity of demons. In particular, there seems to be widespread confusion due to drawing distinctions between demons, unclean spirits, and fallen angels. Evil spirits, and unclean demons are other terms…principalities and powers.

Whats the big deal? God’s Word mainly and rightly dividing it. But practicaly, is there is difference in how to deal with these entities if they are different, bc they are generally thought to differ in strength and authority. Affects view of spiritual warfare and who we are fighting—multiple foes or one-Satan/demons? If they are different, how can we tell which is which, or can we? Do we need to take ‘extra caution’ with one more than another? Is the name of Jesus authoritative over all 3?

When it comes to demonology or any area, I am willing to admit when I am not sure about something. Just this morning I told a dear friend that I was ‘pretty sure’ what Genesis 6:1ff teaches, but was not absolutely certain. And I think we should be willing to say “I don’t know’ when we don’t know.

However, since the Word of God is Truth, we can have absolute certitude, without being arrogant, when the bible is clear on a matter. And I have studied the above issue enough to see that the bible has enough clarity for me say: “This is the truth. You can accept or reject it, but it is the truth from Gods Word.” Hemming and hawing when the bible is clear is not humility; it is a subtle form of pride. Bowing before God’s absolute sovereign authority as our Lord includes believing what he teaches in His inerrant Word.

Will you change your mind if I can show from God’s Word that the three are synonymous? A soft, teachable heart that is willing to change one’s mind (re non-essentials) is lovely trait, but not especially common, sadly. We have a lot of self-taught bible and theology experts who are causing problems on Facebook and elsewhere.

We should have respect for those teachers/pastor God has placed over us but they are not infallible, and only God can bind your conscience via His Word. Also, just because a person has had a long successful career as a deliverance minister or exorcist does not make their opinions on this matter infallible either. If God waits until we are perfect to use us then He’s never use any of us.

And it is exceedingly foolish and naïve for those in the paranormal community to identify entities according to their appearance because of the Angel of Light principle—2 Cor. 11:14. Using one’s senses to determine the truth regarding this issue is unwise in the extreme. Some folks have a long list of distinct entities that allegedly populate the spirit realm, all based on perception—believing EVP’s ect. Satan and demons are expert liars and deceivers so it is foolish to believe any voices caught via a means condemned by God.

And the alleged distinction between demons, unclean spirits, and fallen angles are often based on the same fallacy of identification via experience or appearance. Is a 8 ft Baphomet looking spirit with long horns and red eyes more wicked and powerful than a little boy spirit? Or a shadow man with a hat, or black eyed kids? The tendency, contrary to Ockhams razor, is to multiply the number of entities in the spirit realm, when the bible clearly teaches that there are only 2 kinds of creatures that populate the spirit realm—good angels and bad angels. Both of which are called multiple names, in order to call attention to their different ranks or to accencuate a particular aspect.

Just as angels, and Jesus Himself have many names, but same Person, so it is with demons. Why distinguish between these 3 entities I’ve mentioned if they can be shown to be the same? As Ockhams Razor suggests, we should prefer the simpler explanation with less variable if it explains the phenomena. And affirming that demons, unclean spirits, and fallen/bad angels are same thing not only does justice to Ockhams razor but more importantly the basic interpretive principle of comparing scripture with scripture.
Scripture alone must be our guide in this debate. And I will use a fair amount in this discussion.

First, let me show that the gospels clearly show that demons and unclean spirits are the same thing. Then we’ll look at fallen angels or devils .

Mark 5

1.They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the
Gerasenes. 2 And when Jesus had stepped out of the boat, immediately
there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit (pneumati
akatharto). 3 vHe lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him
anymore, not even with a chain, 4 for he had often been bound with
shackles and chains, but he wrenched the chains apart, and he broke the
shackles in pieces. No one had the strength to subdue him. 5 Night and
day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out and
cutting himself with stones. 6 And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran
and fell down before him. 7 And crying out with a loud voice, he said,
“What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure
you by God, do not torment me.” 8 For he was saying to him, “Come out of
the man, you unclean spirit!” (to pneuma to akatharton) 9 And Jesus
asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name is Legion, for we
are many.” 10 And he begged him earnestly not to send them out of the
country. 11 Now a great herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside,
12 and they begged him, saying, “Send us to the pigs; let us enter
them.” 13 So he gave them permission. And the unclean spirits (ta
pneumata ta akatharta)came out and entered the pigs; and the herd,
numbering about two thousand, rushed down the steep bank into the sea
and drowned in the sea.

14 The herdsmen fled and told it in the city and in the country. And
people came to see what it was that had happened. 15 And they came to
Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man (daimonizomenon), the one who had
had the legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, and they
were afraid. 16 And those who had seen it described to them what had
happened to the demon-possessed man (daimonizomino) and to the pigs. 17
And they began to beg Jesus4 to depart from their region. 18 As he was
getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons (ho
daimonistheis)begged him that he might be with himIs there a distinction? (notice the clear and natural transition of
terms as the narrative evolves) This one text should resolve the issue
once and for all..
23And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” 24Immediately the father of the child cried outd and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” 25And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” (mk 9)
and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.” 18And Jesus rebuked the demon,b and itc came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly. (Matt 17)

24And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon.g And he entered a house and did not want anyone to know, yet he could not be hidden. 25But immediately a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit heard of him and came and fell down at his feet. 26Now the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 27And he said to her, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” 28But she answered him, “Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.” 29And he said to her, “For this statement you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter.” 30 And she went home and found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.

Those are just 2 texts of numerous passages I came across with same phenomenon. And there are several instances where parallel passages in gospels where one writer calls them demons and other unclean spirts.

I have read mumerous articles and books which distinguish between the 3. Usually the bible is used to demonstrate this distinction. Also, one of these beings is said to be stronger than the other. In addition, it is perhaps significant that those who do
distinguish between the two, tend to also believe in some forms of
trapped human spirits…but that is another story.

So what…what is the big deal? As we have noted before, when dealing
with God’s Word, we are ordered by God Himself to be as accurate as
possible in our interpretation of every text.To mis-interpret is sin…a
failure to love God with all of our minds. Second, once you begin
multiplying spirit beings confusion is bound to follow. “Is this house
occupied by a demon/s or by unclean spirit/s?” Confusion from the
outset.(some say that they deal with unclean spirits and demons in the
same manner, but others deal differently—and why not?

Third, once the multiplying of spirit beings is begun, it is easy to
step on the slippery slope of introducing additional beings.(e.g.
purgatorial dead, malevolent dead, elementals, etc) But, most
importantly, we are simply to be consumed with accurate exegesis and
interpretation…handling the precious oracles of God with immense care.
My purpose in this blog is not to analyze the specifics of these texts,
but to ask: does the bible differentiate between unclean spirits and
demons? Are they different or the same? That is the issue before us.

Btw, I chose these passages almost at random…what
you read here is uniform throughout the New Testament, especially the
gospels.

the Holy Spirit uses demons and unclean spirits as
synonyms. The bible frequently uses multiple terms for the same being
to accent different things. Jesus Himself, had many names/titles but
they all refer to one and same Divine Person, accenting different facets
of His person and work. Satan has multiple names as well, so why all
the fuss about some alleged distinction between unclean spirits and
demons? But I have seen the most outrageous comments in deliverance books which I have quit reading.

If you read the above passages carefully, then it should be obvious that
the various gospel writers used “unclean spirits” and “demons” as
synonyms..

How about fallen or bad angels—or Satans angels?

Mtt 25 Judgment….31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Diabolo kai tois angellous autou (v41) Obvious these must be the rank and file being we battle with daily…demons, unclean spirits…condemned with Satan.

7Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, 8but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothersb has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. 12Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!” (12)

12The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. 13And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. 14For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. 15(“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) 16And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (16)
So what are called devils angels in ch 12, are called unclean spirits and demons in ch 16, and clearly referring to same beings…consistent with Mat 25

What does all this mean? Serves to clarify our foe. Cant fight against what you are confused about.

While we are at it lets throw in the mix elemental spirits which are usually seen as nature spirits. In Col. 2 :8 Stoichei are seen as demonic spirits behind mystical false teaching which Christ overcame in v 10 and disarmed in v 15 ..rulers and authorities…so another name of demon. Same argument as John in 1 John 4 –false teachers are animated by demons.

MARK’S REPLY TO READERS’ RESPONSES TO HIS POST:

If you just read post and don’t listen to video then much content is lost. I make connections on video that I leave out on blog – I apologize. Re: your main point, think of Peter’s rebuke of Jesus. Jesus said to Peter:” Get behind Me, Satan.” Now, was He calling Peter literally Satan, at the point? No, Jesus was addressing the man Peter who was, at the moment, acting under the influence of Satan in trying to dissuade Him from cross.

This is parallel to text you raised in which Judas is acting very much under influence of a devil. But just as godly Christians do not become angels when they die, as popularly thought, so humans can never become demons, devil or Satan…but they can express, or mirror them. Even when possessed, Judas was still a man–not literally a devil. Jesus used ordinary language which employs figures of speech, etc.

Mark has a heart for this type of ministry, where he sheds a light on the deceptions of the enemy concerning the bible and the paranormal. He is the author of “Seeing Ghosts Through God’s Eyes”, where he shows the deception behind theories such as earthbound spirits, in light of scripture.

Mark’s video and radio series are designed to equip believers with sound biblical theology, so they won’t be pulled into heresies.

Please also listen to our two radio series, where myself, Laura Maxwellinterviewed Mark on such topics: PlayList One and PlayList Two.

Ghost Adventures Paparazzi by Ex Ghost Hunter, now Deliverance Minister Dana Emanuel.

Zak Bagans

My good friend, Ex Ghost Hunter, Dana Emanuel, filmed the below video and wrote:

”With so many people joining the field of paranormal research, we need to consider, and ask ourselves, with so many today, suffering from demonic torment, what is the best way we can help them? Isn’t their safety and awareness of the truth most important?”

Mark Hunnemann, our good friend, Deliverance Minister, author, and frequent radio guest responded:

”Thank you Dana for the added information re the acid test folks are using for detecting demons as well as the important reminder to get minister help with paranormal activity/demonic activity. With your experience and biblical wisdom you have unusually keen insights and advice. Your passion and compassion is so evident!”

Below Video by Dana Emanuel, Deliverance Minister.

Dana Emanuel, ”All spirits that pose as ghosts, aliens, spirit guides, animal spirits, ascended masters, etc., are demonic, with the exception of God’s holy angels. God bless you and thank you for watching!”

A VIEWER’S COMMENT:

Truth is they, (paranormal teams), aren’t testing the spirits. If the spirit act’s bad or evil, such as scratching, throwing things, then they claim it is a demon. If it (acts like) a child, or someone allegedly linked to a sad or tragic event, it is (claimed to be) a Ghost. So, the only testing being done is by the Demonic Spirits!

Examining ‘Ghost Adventures: Aftershocks’ by Ex Ghost Hunter Dana Emanuel.

Zak Bagans

My good friend, Ex Ghost Hunter, Dana Emanuel, offers:

”a superb analysis of the inconsistencies and problems connected with Zak Bagans and other investigators with their attempts at evaluating paranormal phenomena. This is a profound, very clear and persuasive video presentation of the inconsistencies and naïve perceptions of those not guided by God’s Word…and explaining the Truth. Dana clearly states and illustrate several significant truths,”

The Shape of Water, Hollywood and Sex with Marine Spirits by Camilla Rosa Eriksen.

Camilla Rosa Eriksen wrote on Hollywood and marine spirits recently in Exposing The Darkness.

The Shape of Water, Hollywood and Sex with Marine Spirits by Camilla Rosa Eriksen.

Those at Hollywood, AKA Hellwood, seem to be in competition with each other on how disgusting and occult their themes can be. It seems that the public in general are now so desensitised and the floodgates to the demonic realm so wide open – that movies can be about everything and still be perceived as beautiful and interesting, combined with the right music and visual effects.

The Shape of Water won best movie at the Academy Awards this year. It clearly promotes sexual relations with demonic creatures. Of course this is promoted as a “Beauty and the Beast” type story of misunderstood and agonising individuals being “liberated” by “love”…(sound familiar according to what is politically correct these days…?.)

The main character of the movie is a woman who masturbates in a bath tub and who falls in love with a water monster dragged up from a South American River and kept as a prisoner in the Government laboratory where she works… They become lovers – there is even sex between the ugly monster and the woman.

What this represents is very clearly Marine Spirits – demons residing in water – and the Succubus and the Incubus spirit. A very real phenomenon of people having sex with demons – and thereby of course being overtaken/possessed by demons.

Anna Nicole Smith

In the past couple of years there has been an increase in movies and tv series about having sexual relations with creatures from the demonic realm. Some people in the entertainment industry have even bragged publically about sex with demons.

There are many layers to what it means that perversion like this has not only quickly become somewhat tolerated in our society – but now even winning awards and accolades. Things are happening fast!

The essential agenda of this movie – from a spiritual perspective – is to make “love” between people and all kinds of creatures – including animals, hybrids, demons and demonic entities in the form of so-called extraterrestrials/aliens – seem exciting and acceptable. Notice how much this sea monster’s face look like the “grey aliens” and the Reptilian? It’s interesting how FAST demonic sex went from beautiful vampires in the Twilight series to now not even have to be beautiful to be enticing!

Satan Doesn’t Even Have To Play Dress Up Anymore.

Apparently the Kingdom of Darkness found it was time for the public to embrace this uglyness and the timing seemed perfect. The Acadamy Award for best movie and the earnings of this movie speaks for itself. According to Forbes magazine the movie has earned more than $ 55.3 million already – and that number is in the US alone.

The really sad thing is that this spiritual junk is so dangerous. The fact is that these movies which combine sexuality and occultism not only break down barriers on a intellectual level, but can bring demonic possession.

This means that one movie can influence millions of lives to worship Satan unknowingly and their lives be taken over by evil powers. And since the Church – the body of Messiah on the earth – is hardly even speaking up about these things and much less doing any real deliverance anymore – Hollywood, the entertainment industry and its evil agenda now controls the world.

More and more people are being attacked by sexual/unclean spirits in their dreams and in their awake time. Many are embarrassed to talk about it. Some even enjoy it – until they become victims of bondage so real that is becomes painful to be enslaved. At this point it is already too late for some to repent because they allowed themselves to be taken over.

Others don’t know that they are under the influence of unclean spirits in their lives, because they don’t have any extreme experiences in their dreams or at night. But their sexuality is unhappy and unfulfilled or messed up – and they don’t see the connection between what they have sowed into it (what they have watched throughout their lives or what their wife/husband has watched).

What we hear and what we see become our thoughts and emotions which become our actions. And unclean spirits affect much than our sexual identity. They can go deep into the core of our lives and cause severe emotional problems, confusion and failure in other areas of life as well.

The rampant rise of mental illness such as psychosis and schizophrenia is also to a large degree caused by demonic spirits. It is so important that we talk to our young children and help them completely avoid this kind of entertainment.

If you have watched any of these types of movies – and/or any kind of pornography – you need to renounce it, repent and go through deliverance to take back full control of your mind, emotions and sexuality.

By doing spiritual house cleaning, by repentance, by deliverance and by pleading the blood of Jesus and standing on the Word it is possible to CLOSE the door completely to attacks and infiltration by these unclean spirits. You also need to have your mind washed clean from the memories/images of what you have seen.

Satanic Roots of New Age: Admitted Satanist Anton LaVey & Medium Helena Blavatsky, (AKA Mother of the New Age).

‘Kevin Enavworhe kindly gave me permission to share his excellent yet brief article.  He quotes self confessed Luciferian Medium, ‘Madame Helena Blavatsky’, AKA ‘Mother of the New Age Movement’).  I was taught these New Age lies too when I was a New Age Spiritualist!’ wrote Laura Maxwell.

THE NEW AGE MOVEMENT OFFERS DEATH AND DESTROYS THE INTELLECT By Kevin Enavworhe.

‘This is very true. When the Lord saved me from this nonsense I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. The Devil wants people to be under spiritual bondage and embrace absurdity such as the new age movement. That’s why when one points out the inconsistencies in new agers’ claims (ex. When they say that truth is relative), most of time they won’t see it and would still walk away pridefully claiming victory.

There’s a prideful demonic hold on New Agers to take over their lives in order to prevent them from seeing that sin is destroying both their soul & intellect and that Jesus Christ is the one who wants to restore both their soul & intellect. The New Age Movement is 100% Satanism masqueraded as light. This is a brute fact and it is not only the Christians that are saying this.

Helena Blavatsky (aka Mother of the New Age) was one of the people who formed Theosophy/ the modern New Age Movement through the help of her spirit guides in 1875.

She wrote several books on New Age philosophy and teaching for her life work in combing eastern and western esoteric philosophical teachings concerning the mysteries of the ages. In one of her books she proudly admitted who is the one behind the ancient spirituality.

She said,  “Speak his name with trembling . . . . For Satan is the magistrate of the justice of God (Karma); he beareth the balance and the sword . . . . For to him are committed Weight and Measure and Number.” and “It is “Satan who is the god of our planet and the only god…. The glory of Satan is the shadow of the Lord..”– (The Secret Doctrine Vol. 2. Pg. 234, 235)

Anton Lavey was a Satanist and founder of The Church of Satan. He was in fact very boastful of his Satanism and has been studying the occult, channeling demons and engaging in rituals all throughout his life.

He said something quite interesting about the New Age Movement:

“In the scores of books lining the shelves of New Age bookstores, there are instructions for guided meditation, creative visualizations, out of body experiences, getting in touch with your spirit guides, fortune telling by cards, crystal balls or the stars. What if Satanists reclaimed these for their own dark purposes and integrated them into rituals dedicated to the Devil, where they rightfully belong? New Agers have freely drawn upon all manner of Satanic material, adapting it to their own hypocritical purposes… But in truth, all ‘New Age’ labeling is, again, trying to play the Devil’s game without using His Infernal name.”-Anton LaVey, quoted in Church of Satan, B. Barton, pg.107

In other words he is saying, “If you’re going to engage in these spiritual practices, don’t be selfish but rather instead give our master Satan the praise and credit he deserves”

How To Live The Full Life God Wants For You (2) – Bernie Dymet.

SERIES: IT’S TIME TO TAKE THE PROMISED LAND (PT 2)

So many Christians believe in the promises of God – they just struggle to live in those promises. That’s because sometimes we expect the promises to be delivered to our front door step – a bit like a pizza. But that’s not how God works. His plan – is for us to take the promises.

In this series – Berni Dymet takes a look at exactly what it means – to take the promised land.

https://christianityworks.com/adp/series/its-time-to-take-the-promised-land-pt-2/

By Thomas Kinkade

EPISODE ONE: COURAGE IN THE PROMISES.

When the chips are down, when things are against you – gee it can be hard to hang onto the promises of God. Really hard. That’s why He makes promises in a way that – well, puts courage in your heart.

So many things in life promise so much but in the end so many of them fail to deliver and my hunch is that, for many people, it kind of sums up their experience of God.

This Jesus, I mean He promises so much, peace and joy and a life lived in all of it’s abundance but somehow the experience can fall short of the promise. Must have felt a little bit like that for Israel after centuries in slavery and forty years wandering through the desert.

They were about to cross over into the land that God promised Abraham all those centuries before, the Promised Land. But as they looked ahead into that Promised Land what they saw was a whole bunch of tribes and nations already occupying it. There’d have to be battle after battle to take the Promised Land, could this really be one of the promises of God, I mean really?

Well you know, Israel was there, they were on the banks of the Jordan on one side and they were about to cross over into this Promised Land, they’d spent the last forty years wandering through the desert on the exodus. Somehow kind of believing, very imperfectly I might add, of a promise made to Abraham centuries before that God would give this land to Abraham’s descendants.

And here they were, Israel, Abraham’s descendants, and they looked across the river and they saw all these people and tribes and kings and fortified cities and armies. On the one hand they wanted to believe in God’s promise but on the other hand they’re looking at the reality thinking, “wow, how is that ever going to happen?”

You know God calls us to His Promised Land here and now today. It promises all the way through the Bible about a relationship with God. Jesus says in John chapter 10, verse 10, he says:

The thief you know only comes to steal, kill and destroy but I’ve come that you might have life in all its abundance.

Well think about that for a minute. Look at our lives and look around at what’s going on, can we have a really abundant life? Again, Jesus says in Matthew chapter 13, he says:

The kingdom of God is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it he hid it again and in his joy he went and sold all that he had to buy that field.

Wow, you know God’s kingdom, God’s Promised Land is like … well it’s like a treasure. When we give our lives to Jesus lock, stock and barrel He invites us into a land of promises and they’re promises so different to what the world promises. You see His Promised Land isn’t a physical land or physical wealth and all that other stuff, it’s quite different. Once He was asked by some religious leaders of the day, when this Kingdom of God would come and Jesus said:

The Kingdom of God doesn’t come with your careful observation. People won’t say ‘Oh here it is or there it is’. No, he said, the kingdom of God is within you.

The Promised Land isn’t something out there, it’s not a new house or a new car or a new job. The Promised Land, the Kingdom of God is in our hearts. And so often we feel like Joshua, standing on the threshold looking back at what’s been and looking forward and wanting to believe the promises of God but you look around and some days they’re so hard to believe.

I want to talk right now about taking courage in the promises of God. This is so important because you know what we do, you and I, we focus on the things we can see. We focus on the broken relationships or the lack of money or all the problems we have in our lives and we think, “Oh, I don’t think God’s promises can ever come”. But God calls us to set our eyes on the things that are above, to set our eyes on heavenly things. Look again at what God said to Joshua about His Promised Land:

I have given you every place where you will set your foot as I promised to Moses.

Isn’t it interesting. He uses the past tense, actually it’s the Hebrew perfect tense, “something that is done and completed”. “I have given you every place where you will set your foot …” As far as God was concerned the Promised Land was a done deal, it was given and when God gives, no-one can block that. That’s God’s perspective. And yet our perspective is to focus on all the obstacles and the enemies and the fears and the doubts and the problems.

Can I tell you something? When I became a Christian about 15 years ago I had so much dysfunction in my life I can’t begin to tell you. And one of the first promises of God that I heard was that one we talked about before in John chapter 10, verse 10 where Jesus said:

I have come that you may have life in all its fullness and its abundance.

It’s a promise that He wrote on my heart and somehow I just decided to believe it like a child. Jesus came because He wants me to have an abundant life. Now if I looked at me and my life and the predicaments and all the pain and the trouble I was in, I had no right to believe that promise from Jesus but somehow God’s word, well the Holy Spirit comes along and it’s like a gift. He lifts our eyes up to see heavenly things.

And I believed in that promise so imperfectly and I had to go through some things. And I was afraid some days and I was lonely some days and some days I wanted to give up. But at the end of the day I decided to believe.

What Jesus did for you and me on the cross was to remove all the sin, all the reproach of the past and open up a door into an abundant, outrageous and wonderful relationship with God. It is a done deal, past completed, it is finished.

The abundant life has been purchased for us on that cross and now, now’s time to walk in it and the point of what God said to Joshua was that there will be battles:

I’ve given you every place where you will set your foot as I promised Moses. No-one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life because as I was with Moses so I will be with you. I’ll never leave you or forsake you.

You see, God’s promise is a done deal. Sure people are going to come against us, things are going to come against us, circumstances are going to come against us and God says, ‘I’ll never leave you or forsake you.’ The promise is a done deal and that is a completely different way of looking at things isn’t it? Completely different.

For me and my life over these last dozen and a half or so years and every day here and now, the courage I have to face the people and the obstacles are the promises of God. Because when God promises something nobody, but nobody can take it away. The focus of the promise is our relationship with God, the peace and the joy that flows from that.

All the other stuff, the relationships and the health and the money, all that’s temporary, that will come and go but what will last forever is our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. And it’s an act of faith to take courage in the promises of God. Because when God promises something, when Jesus says, “I have come for you to have an abundant life in all it’s fullness”, you know something that’s a promise and we lay hold of that promise through faith by believing in the word of God.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

How To Live The Full Life God Wants For You (1) – Bernie Dymet.

SERIES: IT’S TIME TO TAKE THE PROMISED LAND (PT 1)

So many Christians believe in the promises of God – they just struggle to live in those promises. That’s because sometimes we expect the promises to be delivered to our front door step – a bit like a pizza. But that’s not how God works. His plan – is for us to take the promises.

In this series – Berni Dymet takes a look at exactly what it means – to take the promised land.

https://christianityworks.com/adp/series/its-time-to-take-the-promised-land-pt-1/

EPISODE ONE: PROMISES, PROMISES, PROMISES.

So many things in life are full of promise and then after a while, well, they feel empty. God is full of promises too. He talks a lot about the Promised Land. The question is, how do you get a hold of His promises? How can you actually live in His Promised Land?

There are many, many people in this world who feel that they’re wandering aimlessly through life. Sure there have been some good things and maybe there are some more to look forward to and yeah, we all have bad things that happen in our lives, we all do but this feeling that we’re wandering is somehow separate or independent of whatever is going on around us. Where am I going? Isn’t there some destination other than a coffin at the end of it all?

So many things in life, family and career and possessions, they hold out so much promise and for the most part they’re great but where’s it all headed? That’s why today we’re kicking off with a new series called, “It’s Time to Take the Promised Land”. Maybe it sounds a bit odd but indulge me, it could be one of the most important things we ever do together.

I am really excited starting this new series called, “It’s Time to Take the Promised Land”. Now what sort of series title is that you might ask, It’s Time to Take the Promised Land, well let me unpack what I’ve been thinking. We live in a world that promises so much, a world of brands and products and experiences and travel and luxury, you know all that stuff that they cram in on us, a world that promises so much.

The marketeers, they talk about the “brand promise”, for example my favourite on TV, you see the ads for margarine or breakfast cereal or low fat milk right. Ever noticed them? Here’s what they look like, here’s the setting.

It’s a trendy, today kind of kitchen; the sun is always streaming in through the window. You ever noticed it’s never raining outside, it’s never cold and wet and mum, mum’s pretty good looking, she’s slim, she’s happy and she’s well adjusted.

She’s smiling preparing the breakfast. And all of a sudden a well adjusted teenager bounds in and the teenagers smiling and spreads the margarine on their bread or pours the milk on their cereal whatever. And then, a cool, good looking 40 something dad in a suit and a white shirt strolls in and he grabs a piece of toast and the newspaper and kisses his wife and this is the sort of family at breakfast we’d all like to have but for so many people the reality is so different to the ad. I mean when you think about breakfast, I don’t know about you but for us it’s always busy, my daughters a teenager, she’s racing off to school and its nothing like the ad.

The reality is millions of people watching that ad don’t know where their next meals coming from. The reality is, families who are watching that ad are falling apart, the reality is even if they aren’t they’re bringing up teenagers and that’s a tough gig. The reality is that most peoples family’s and kitchens and lives and breakfasts look nothing like this ad and they’re selling margarine or cereal or milk and the brand promise is, if you buy this product this is what your life will look like.

Now you and I look at that in the cold hard day and think, “well that’s absolutely nuts”, right? I mean it’s crazy, margarine could never do that for you. But we swallow this kind of marketing every day. New car ads are the same, have you ever noticed that the cars always are the only cars out on this open road, “buy me and you’ll have the freedom to roam”. Never stuck in peak hour traffic ever.

You see so many things hold out a promise that they can’t deliver. On the one hand we want to live out those images of success that the marketeers kind of dangle under our noses, on the other hand somehow we never do, we never quite get there, it never quite works the way it looks on the ad or on the cooking show or on the, on the home makeover show and that’s the psychology of marketing.

You create an image that’s desirable, people look at it they want it and they see the gap between where they are and where that image is and that gets us to spend our money because we feel inadequate. And then we get there and we discover it doesn’t deliver and then they dangle the next thing under our nose and round and round and round we go on this treadmill of broken promises. I mean it makes our consumer economies go round and here you and I are on this treadmill with brands that never deliver on their brand promise and God comes along with a promise.

God makes a lot of promises:

I’ll be your God and you’ll be my people and I’ll walk among you and I’ll bless you and keep you and comfort you and guide you.

Jesus said:

I’ve come that you might have life in all of its abundance.

It’s almost like God’s painting this picture of a promised land, a land that’s almost too good to be true. A land, a life, well to you and me some days it seems a bit like that kitchen and that family in the margarine ad. It’s hard to swallow God’s promises when we’re on that treadmill of broken promises going round and round and round. So I think in this day and age God’s promises are harder to accept than ever.

Now, now we’re getting close to the heart of this new series that I’ve called, “It’s Time to Take the Promised Land”. You see God is a god of promise and brand Jesus is the one brand that actually delivers. God’s plan is to lead you and me into His promised land, into a land flowing with milk and honey and we’re going to look at, over the next few days, about exactly what that lands about.

It’s a land of blessing but, here’s the but, He involves us in that process and we have a part to play and the first step that we’re talking about today, is accepting God’s promise. Letting Him write that promise on our hearts and believing it with all that we are, believing it with every fibre of our beings, with our very lives. What you discover when you get to looking at what God says is that you can’t have the promised land, you can’t go there, you can’t settle there unless first we believe it with our hearts.

Tomorrow we’re going to look at the time when God promised this land to Abraham. You know something, Abrahams just like you and me, he really struggled with a promise because it was impossible to promise. You see, you can’t have it until first you believe then He calls us to cross over into that land, to take the land.

Now that’s a shock and that’s a surprise and we’re going to be looking at that too, over the coming weeks. It’s really important to understand the journey and it can be tough and there can be battles along the way, it isn’t home delivered like a pizza as I said before.

We’ll be looking through the book of Joshua in the Old Testament, all about Israel crossing over into the promised land and how battle after battle they had to take the promised land but up front, something for us to think about today and the next couple of days on the program, up front we have a decision to make.

Do I really want God’s Promised Land? I mean really and if I do am I going to let Him write His promises on my heart and then carry those promises around with me through thick and thin on the bright sunny days and the cold and the wet and the windy days? Because they will come too. It’s about letting Him write His promises on our hearts, His plan for us to dwell in His promised land.

We’ve got a choice, we can go round and round and round on this treadmill of broken promises and live an empty and unfulfilled life or we can take a decision, a decision that sometime soon it’s time to take the promised land.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

When the Israelites were in captivity, ‘they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress’ (v.13 NIV). When people were trapped in their sin, Jesus forgave them and set them free. Jesus can free us today, and ‘if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through’ (John 8:36 MSG).
So how do we access that freedom? Firstly, we have to want freedom, and we have to realise we need God’s help to get it. We can’t do it in our own strength. Freedom starts by recognising our total dependence on Him.
Instead of trying to handle it all on your own, the Bible says, ‘Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you’ (1 Peter 5:7 NIV). We can get so caught up in trying to find freedom on our own, trying to fix ourselves, we forget to turn to God. But it’s not about fixing ourselves, it’s about devoting ourselves.
And devoting ourselves leads on to the second point.
We need to be feeding our souls. Jesus said, ‘I am the living bread…If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever’ (John 6:51 NIV).
As we feed on God’s Word and share our feelings in prayer, He’ll lighten our burdens and nourish our souls. He came to declare ‘freedom for the prisoners…to release the oppressed’ (Luke 4:18 NIV).
So let’s take time to feed on God’s Word. And to reflect on it until we understand how to apply it to our lives. Knowledge without application is useless. Freedom requires feeding daily on the Bible, and applying what we learn to our circumstances.

Romans 12:2 New King James Version

‘And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…’

What Now?

Spend time feeding your soul today. Find a quiet space, grab your Bible and get reading.

Write down any verses that stand out to you.
