Joy

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…”

John 16:33 – “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 15:10-11 – … abide in My love … These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Psalm 16:11 – You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is fullness of joy. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Philippians 1:6 – being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Psalm 37:4 – Delight yourself in the Lordand he shall give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 51:12 – Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your Spirit.

Isa 61:1-3 – He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners … to comfort all who mourn … to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

Galatians 5:22 (AMP) – the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Psalm 100:1-4 – Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness;  come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His. 

Proverbs 17:22  – A merry heart does good, like medicine …

James 1:2-4 – Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature … 

1 Thessalonians 1:6 – You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.
