She kindly gave me permission to share her recent article below on this powerful and beguiling deception.
After reading it, you may want to read my article on how to Test The Spirits and Angels – To Challenge Their True Identity in Jesus Name. See my link. Demons were once angels of course, before they chose to fall and follow Satan. Thus they can easily disguise themselves to fool people.
Even believers will buy this board. Here’s a Facebook post a Christian mother shared about her daughter buying one:
WARNING: THE ANGEL BOARD IS A OUIJA BOARD IN DISGUISE
by Ex Professional Astrologer, Marcia Montenegro.
There is an Angel Board, which is actually like a Ouija Board, but supposedly you can use it to talk to angels, or your guardian angel(s).
Quote From Amazon: ‘When you really need answers to your pressing life questions, The Angel Guidance Board gives you quick and clear guidance about your career, love life, family, health, finances, and other important areas. Doreen Virtue has used oracle boards (such as Ouija and scrying boards) since childhood, and has always found them to be complicated and time-consuming. So, she designed this board to be extremely simple, quick, and easy to use.’ (Above image of the board is also from Amazon).
Doreen Virture is a New Age self-described angel expert whom I have warned about many times. I knew about her when I was in the New Age.
Angels are big in the New Age and the occult. I heard about angels all the time when I was in the New Age. Many of my friends had Angel Cards, which you use for divination (like Tarot cards), or you pull one each day to get the “message” for the day.
The author of the highly popular book, Teen Witch, wrote one later on Angels, which I read. It was much more insidiously evil since it showed sigils, (signs held to have occult power in astrology or magic), used to contact angels and taught how to summon them. This was a book for teens.
Any attempt to contact or summon an angel will result in contact only with a fallen angel. Spiritism is strongly forbidden and denounced by God and angels are spirit creatures.
There is no example anywhere in the Bible of anyone contacting an angel. The angels who brought messages or did other things for people in the Bible were sent at God’s command. They were never summoned by man.
Asking questions using this Board is the same as using a Ouija Board. In both cases, only fallen angels, disguised as good angels, as guardian angels, or as the dead, will respond. Not saying it’s anyone’s fault, but the church is always about 5 to 10 yrs behind, on what is going on in the New Age and in the culture.
Please see my article on angels under Resources in the below list.
“Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind.” Colossians 2:18

During these years, she also participated in past life regression, numerology, Tarot cards, spirit contact, seances, astral travel, and received a spirit guide through a guided visualization.
Being an astrologer and involved in the New Age/ occult community gave Marcia a diversity of friends and astrological clients including witches/pagans; New Age healers; psychics; palm readers and card readers; Sufis; followers of Rajneesh, Sai Baba, Muktananda, Maharaji, and other gurus; Hare Krishna devotees; est and Silva Mind trainees; and others. As an astrologer, Marcia taught astrology for over five years, wrote for several astrological and New Age publications (some articles were translated into German and Spanish for European magazines), conducted workshops, did public speaking, did a weekly spot for a psychic’s cable TV show, and was interviewed by the “USA Today” news show and by “The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.”
Since becoming a Christian, Marcia has been on several radio shows, including “Unshackled!,” Bill Bright’s “WorldChangers,” “Janet Parshall’s America,” and the “Dawson McAllister Live” show for teenagers. She has also been on Christian television, including having her testimony dramatized on Dr. D. James Kennedy’s show. She has led workshops and spoken at conferences, churches and retreats, and written for Christian publications. Marcia is the author of SpellBound: The Paranormal Seduction of Today’s Kids (Cook, 2006).
Marcia’s ministry is CANA/Christian Answers for the New Age, and she is a missionary with Fellowship International Mission, an independent mission board based in Allentown, PA. CANA is an informational and outreach ministry, responding to New Age and occult issues in the culture through dialogue and information via public talks, radio, writing, and the CANA website.
Marcia graduated with High Honors from Florida Presbyterian College (now Eckerd College), St. Petersburg, FL, with a degree in literature. Marcia has a Masters in Religion from Southern Evangelical Seminary, Charlotte, NC.
