A church in Glasgow, Destiny, approached me and asked to feature my testimony in their new paper.

I was very honoured and glad to help spread the word of the love and grace of the Lord.

It contains exciting stories about transformed lives, that all started with an encounter with God.

They printed 50,000 free newspapers “ENCOUNTER”.
They are being freely distributed to homes in and around Glasgow, as well as being given out on the streets.

It’s their 1st edition and it featured testimonies of myself & others from Scotland.

It also includes the testimonies of an EX Mormon, Sir Brian Souter, actor Sylvester Stallone, and a Celtic & Honduras football player Emilio Izaguirre.

There’s also a very interesting testimony from Professor Joachim Gross of Glasgow University, who has 20 years experience in Physics and brain research.

It also carries gospel articles & advertises their new HOPE LINE, the very 1st 24-hour Christian helpline in the UK.

It will be manned 24 hours a day-7 days a week. It began its role in Glasgow through a big poster/Ad campaign & posters placed around the underground.

Praise God for this new paper & helpline, may many souls be touched with His love & power, for His glory!

What is Kundalini Yoga?

What is Kundalini Yoga?

According to the Kundalini Teachers Association, Kundalini Yoga “is a metaphor, a poetic way of describing the flow of energy and consciousness that exists within each one of us. These practises enable you to merge with, or ‘yoke’ with, the Universal Self. This merging of consciousness with individual consciousness creates a ‘divine union’ called ‘yoga’ of the beloved.” (K.Y.T.A.)

Bks Iyengar in his book ‘The illustrated Light on Yoga’ adds “Kundalini is the Divine Cosmic Energy in bodies. It is symbolised by a coiled and sleeping serpent in the lowest bodily centre at the base of the spinal column.” (Iyengar p.66)

Khalsa helpfully summarises the ideas above as “The easiest way to understand kundalini is to acknowledge that there is a universal spirit, sometimes referred to as God. God uncoils him/her/itself. This uncoiling process is known as kundalini.” (Khalsa p184)

Kundalini Yoga in its wider context.

Kundalini yoga is a particular discipline or path of yoga, though its practise is inseparably linked with all other forms of yoga. In its generic form though, the underlying philosophy of yoga is an attachment or union with God albeit in whatever form God exists, appears or manifests. Hence “Kundalini is sometimes called the ‘mother yoga’. A unique and distinctive form, it encompasses elements that are found in all other forms of yoga.” (Khalsa p184)

Individuals will likely adopt a branch of yoga for various reasons. The perceived benefits may include an improvement in health, better general sense of well being and clarity of purpose, the chance to unwind and relax and in addition to the social and recreational dimension, participants might embark on a spiritual quest or simply attend classes out of curiosity. Proclaimed benefits include “improved functioning of all bodily systems, a consistent sense of well being, emotional balance, enhanced intuition, right relationship and a heightened spiritual sense.” (Singh)

Considering the practise of kundalini yoga in her ‘Yoga Bible’, Christina Brown writes that “Kundalini Yoga is a spiritual school of yoga suited towards those who are inclined towards meditation and who seek a higher state of consciousness.” (Brown p288)

Arguably Kundalini Yoga has been the best kept yoga secret for several millennia, known only to the Hindu sages and mystics. Concerning the power of yoga and giving credence to the above paragraphs Vimla Lalvani writes “All types of yoga have the same goal. The main purpose is to unite the Self with the Cosmic Universe. Different paths were documented in the Vedas and they reasoned that because we are unique and different our personalities would determine which path to follow.” (Lalvani p16)

Kundalini is a form of classic or raj (royal) yoga and, more specifically, a variant of hatha yoga. Hatha yoga emphasises health benefits that involve cleansing the body by means of practises referred to as ‘kriyas’ and include candle gazing, saline nasal irrigation and abdominal churning. The derivative of ‘hatha’ comprises ‘ha’ meaning ‘sun’ and ‘tha’ referring to the moon. The aim of hatha yoga is to balance the sun and the moon forces to awaken the kundalini energy which then rises through the shakras (wheels or discs of which seven are aligned at equidistant gaps along the spinal column).

If clarification is required as to whether kundalini yoga is essentially a spiritual activity with spiritual aims and motives Sri Swama Sivananda, on behalf of the ‘Divine Life Society’, speaks plainly. “In Kundalini yoga the creating and sustaining Sakti of the whole body is actually and truly united with Lord Siva. The Yogi goads Her to introduce him to Her Lord. The rousing of kundalini sakti and Her union with Lord Siva affects the state of Samadhi (Ecstatic union) and spiritual Anubhava (experience).”

Origins of Kundalini in the West and the rise to prominence of Yogi Bhajan.

It is worthy of mention that the Yogi who introduced Kundalini Yoga to the West was not a Hindu but a Sikh, Harbajan Singh Khalsa, more commonly known as Yogi Bhajan, who passed away at his home in Espanola, New Mexico, in 2004 aged seventy five.

Traditionally many yoga masters originate from an ancient lineage of Brahmans, the highest caste in Hinduism, and whom themselves only teach other Brahmans. Typically Sikh’s reject the caste system, though Yogi Bhajan commenced yogic instruction at eight years of age and mastered kundalini yoga when he was sixteen. Whilst he was a teenager Yogi Bhajan was involved in leading one thousand people from what is now Pakistan to New Delhi in India. His aim in coming to the West “was not to gather disciples but simply to spread the teachings of yoga and he has had some success, since there are now centres worldwide.” (Brown p.288)

Yogi Bhajan was the son of a medical doctor and received privileged education in private schools and noticeably attended a Catholic convent school. “Teaching first at the East West Cultural Centre and then in a student’s furniture store in West Hollywood, ‘The Yogi’ was literally a magnet. Students flocked to his classes. Soon he was teaching at colleges and universities, including Claremont and UCLA, and accepting individuals to teach in other cities.” (K.Y.T.A.)

In 1969 Yogi Bhajan founded 3HO (Healthy, Happy, Holy Organisation) in Espanola, New Mexico. The organisation stresses that yoga is more than a practise, as it is a way of life. Consequently the community offers classes, yet not solely on Kundalini yoga and meditation but also “incorporates teachings for all aspects of life, for example vegetarian diet, serving others, living inspirational communities and yogic life skills, such as conscious parenting or partnering.” (Khalsa p188) Today 3H0 is a member of the United Nations as a Non Governmental Organisation, has three centres in thirty five countries and advises on women’s issues, human rights and education regarding alternative medicine.

The Kundalini Teachers Association recalls that “in 1973 Yogi Bhajan founded 3H0 Superhealth, a remarkably successful drugless drug rehabilitation programme, blending the proven ancient yogic wisdom of the East with the modern technology of the West…In 1989 Yogi Bhajan met with President Mikhail Gorbachev and established addiction treatment programs in Russia based on the 3H0 Superhealth model. Currently a pilot project of Superhealth is being formed by the Punjab State Government in India.” (K.Y.T.A.)

Yogi Bhajan was also extensively committed to furthering ecumenism and world peace on an international scale. Noticeably, Yogi Bhajan met with world leaders from various faiths including Pope John Paul II, the Dalai Lama and the then Archbishops of Canterbury. Not surprisingly Yogi Bhajan became the Co-President of the World Fellowship of Religions in 1974 and in 1985 established the First International Peace Prayer Day Celebration in New Mexico.

Kundalini Classes Theory and Practise.

Kundalini classes are based on four themes comprising physical, breathing, relaxation and meditation exercises. Therefore a typical session may include forty minutes of breathing exercises, about a quarter of an hour of relaxation and five minutes of meditation. “Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is a comprehensive system and some classes include discussions about life and spiritual philosophy.” (Yoga Holidays). Having said that, Christina Brown writes that Kundalini Yoga features many series of targeted practises. While a kundalini class will vary from week to week, if you have a particular goal in mind, your teacher may recommend a series of practises to follow consistently at home for forty days, ninety days or even longer (Brown p.288).

“While one series (called a kriya) may be aimed at stimulating the immune system, another set awakens the heart chakra, and a third prepares the practitioner for deep meditation… Meditation is very much a goal of kundalini yoga, which often features mudras, mantras or chanting. Chants may be short, chakra-related big mantras (seed sounds) or longer devotional chants.” (Brown p.288)

Specific mantras are prescribed in an effort to uncoil the kundalini serpent at the base of the spine. A common one is ‘Sat-Nam’ meaning ‘Truth is my identity’ Shakta Kaur Khalsa observes that mantras in English are equally effective. “You can hear the words ‘I am’ on the inhalation and ‘I am’ on the exhalation. The double sound of ‘I am’ will give you the understanding that I am what I know myself to be, and I am greater than I know myself to be.” (Khalsa p.191)

The releasing of kundalini energy is the goal of kundalini yoga and is purported to be attainable instantly or may even take numerous lifetimes. “According to yoga theory, our physical body is accompanied and surrounded by an electromagnetic field called the energetic body, and with this energetic body there are seven energy centres called Chakras. The chakras start off the floor of the pelvis and run all the way up to the Sahashra, the crown shakra.” (Bender Birch p.50)

Chakras are depicted as wheels of light bearing occultic symbols and their function is to regulate prana (life force or energy) for one’s mind body and soul. The idea then, is to link up the prana (the chakra where one breathes) with the apana (the chakra at the base of the spine) This union of the prana and apana is easier said than done! ‘Assuming the lotus position, this is achieved by ‘frequently contracting the anus and raise the apana up; by similar contraction of the throat force the prana down.’ (Iyengar p66) As soon as the apana and prana link up at the third chakra the electromagnetic circuit is completed, the serpent (kundalini) is uncoiled or released and the united prana travel up toward the sixth chakra where it is joined by the pranic energy of the sun and the moon and the three currents rise towards the seventh chakra.

A Biblical view on Kundalini Yoga.

Ankerberg & Weldon rightly assert that “no discussion of yoga is complete without an evaluation of ‘kundalini yoga’. By name, this is now practised by tens of thousands of Americans, including many professing Christians in mainline churches.”

This begs the question; Can a Christian practise kundalini yoga, or any form of yoga for that matter, without it having a detrimental affect on their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ? One must ask whether any branch of yoga is Biblically compatible, as it has been demonstrated by Kundalini yoga advocates themselves that kundalini is the “mother of all yoga” and cannot easily be separated from the other branches of yoga?

Moreover yoga authorities have explained that all yoga is ultimately kundalini yoga and that yoga is in fact meaningless without it. This is why no less an authority than Hans Reiker, author of ‘Yoga of light: The classic Handbook of Esoteric Yoga’, concludes “Kundalini is the mainstay of all yoga practises.” (Ankerberg & Weldon cited in Reiker)

Here, then, are some specific issues relating to kundalini yoga that a born-again Bible believing Christian should seriously consider, and seek the guidance of the Lord Jesus Christ if they are deliberating over whether to attend classes.

Firstly, Yogis and their practitioners can attain a spiritual state when the kundalini has been uncoiled, resulting in the experience of being happily mindless. Yogis such as Gopi Krishna warn that yoga practise can endanger one’s sanity. “It was variable for many years, painfully obsessive… I have passed through all the stages of … mediumistic, psychotic, and other types of mind; for some time I was hovering between sanity and insanity.” (Cleghorn cited in Gopi Krishna)

This is in direct contrast to what the Bible teaches concerning the mind of the Christian. The scriptures below state explicitly how believers should use their minds for the glory of God.

Rom 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

1 Cor 2:16 “for who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”

Eph 4:23-24 “and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you may put on the new man that was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”

Phil 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”

Secondly, the age-old question, “Can a Christian participate in kundalini yoga/other yoga forms purely for the health benefits?” deserves a clear response. The reader may well have spoken to a Christian attending yoga classes stating that with the best intentions they just focus on the physical exercises and leave out the mantras, or even mediate on God? After all, what could possibly go wrong when someone has such earnest and sincere motives? Why not witness in yoga classes?

Hypothetically speaking, if the above assertions were true, at the very least merely attending kundalini yoga classes would no doubt create a stumbling block for other Christians opening up the doorway into a variety of ungodly practises and occult activity. “The first danger of awakening the kundalini powers is that they can be easily misused. If we open our third eye it is possible to read others thoughts and have a glimpse into the future.” (Pettinger)

Also, can we honestly reason that someone like Daniel or his three friends, who refused to indulge in the Babylonian practises whenever there faith in God was even slightly compromised, and who were willing to die if necessary, rather than give glory to anyone other than God, would never think of defiling themselves by even considering turning up for yoga classes? If Kundalini yoga classes were available then would, they have participated in an activity birthed out of false religions for recreational value?

Additionally why would any believer want to be associated with, or approve of, any activity whereby the objective is union with a life force in direct violation of the Scriptures? Few Christians would go to a mosque or a Hindu or Sikh temple and simply block out thoughts towards the deities being revered there and instead mediate on the Bible.

Why is there a need to attend a health class compatible with various religions, occult activities and new age practises? Surely, instead of pushing the boundaries by questioning what we can get away without sinning, should we not make every effort to flee from sin? On a positive note why not attend and enjoy a fitness class in good conscience before God and be in the world but not of the world and take every opportunity to be an effective witness for Christ in that setting.

Thirdly, Kundalini Yoga has an overriding emphasis on self.

Remember “the main purpose is to unite the self with the cosmic universe.” (Lalvani 16) Worryingly, the self is elevated in place of God. The emphasis is on self esteem whereas Christians should be esteeming God greatly and exalting Him (Isa 42:8) and also preferring others’ needs above their own (Phil 2:3-4). Jesus taught the exact opposite of exalting and esteeming oneself. Jesus said to the disciples. “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)

Fourthly, Kundalini Yoga involves meditation and mantras.

While kundalini yoga involves emptying the mind, Christian meditation consists of filling the mind with the things of God. (Psalm 1:2, 63:6; Phil4:8; 1 Tim 4:15)

Fifthly, Yehudi Menuhin writes in the forward of BKS Iyengar’s ‘The Illustrated Light on Yoga’ regarding the power of yoga: “the tree of knowledge has indeed yielded much fruit of great variety, sweet, poisonous, bitter, wholesome, according to our use of it. But is it not more imperative than ever that we cultivate the tree, that we nourish its roots?” (Iyengar xi)

When we examine clearly the roots of how kundalini yoga emerged in the West via Yogi Bhajan it is evident that he perceived kundalini yoga as a whole lifestyle, involving yogic life skills blending yogic wisdom of the East with modern Western technology.

Yogi Bhajan was highly influential in promoting religious ecumenism on an international level, which is the antithesis of Jesus claiming to be the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).

Lastly, meditating on the mantra “I am” and knowing oneself to be greater than they know themselves to be, again is the exact opposite to Jesus famous seven I AM statements in John’s gospel (6:35,8:12,10:9,11,11:25,14:6,15:1). Did Jesus not also say, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, who is and who was and is to come, the Almighty.” (Rev1:8)?

Conclusion.

At best, participating in kundalini yoga will inevitably encourage others into activities that will be harmful to their walk with the lord. Paul wrote to Timothy “Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” (1 Tim 4:16) At worst, gateways to the occult may be accessed and have a disturbing effect on the mind.

Even yogic authorities are unanimous in confirming the inextricable link between kundalini yoga and all other forms of yoga. Churches permitting yoga on their premises should seriously consider the ramifications of tolerating these disciplines and should be encouraged to cease allowing yogic activity in their residence with immediate effect.

If our Christian brothers and sisters are involved we should firstly bear in mind the same: they are our brothers and sisters in Christ! Nonetheless, we must warn them in the correct manner, boldly and not in a half hearted ambiguous fashion (faithful are the wounds of a friend (Prov 27:6), but with a spirit of meekness and fear, remembering what Paul said; “But by the grace of God I am what I am and His grace towards me was not in vain.” (1 Cor 15:10).

What does ‘New Age’ mean?

What is meant by the term New Age, by author and speaker Mike Shreve.

The New Age Movement is a term that covers a lot of territory spiritually. It can reach all the way to the left and embrace the dark side of the occult like Wicca, witchcraft and even Satanism. It can reach all the way to the right and embrace things like success seminars and positive thinking teachings that do not even deal with a basic concept of God, yet incorporate certain ‘New Age’ principles. It is generally a movement within our society and world based on a man-centered (humanistic) approach to the revelation of who we are and what our destiny is.

Basically, the term “New Age” originally stemmed from a belief in an astrological age called “The Aquarian Age.” According to certain astrological teachings, we are presently moving from the Piscean Age (an age of knowledge and scientific advance) into the Aquarian Age (an age of spiritual enlightenment and harmony on the planet). Most ‘New Agers’ subscribe in some way to the idea that we are in transition spiritually into a new era during which drastic spiritual changes will take place on our planet. This will culminate in a higher spiritual atmosphere for the inhabitants of this world.

Within this context, it could be said that Christians believe in a ‘New Age’- for most Christians believe in the coming ‘Kingdom Age’ in which Christ will reign on this planet for a thousand years of peace, harmony and heaven-on-earth conditions. However, this coming new era within a biblical interpretation is much different than the one described by ‘New Agers’, so the biblical phrase “Kingdom Age” and the modern term “New Age” actually refer to two different concepts that are actually opposed to one another in many essential areas of interpretation.

Twelve Basic Beliefs That normally Unify All “New Agers”

Though there is great diversity among ‘New Agers’ on various issues, they tend to agree on the following twelve things:

1. Fascination With The Supernatural-This is always associated with “the New Age Movement” and often with no defining boundaries as to which experiences are correct or incorrect. Supernatural experiences provided through various worldviews are all embraced syncretistically and fused together into one belief system. Many practices are aimed at exploring the supernatural realm and experiencing various superhuman powers or states of consciousness.

2. Pluralism – the belief that all religions are different and equally valid paths to ultimate reality and no one worldview can fully unveil the truth. All religions are one.

3. An Impersonal God – Most New Agers agree that Ultimate Reality in an impersonal cosmic energy: a non-thinking, non-hearing, non-seeing, non-speaking, non-emotional, non-volitional, non-responsive life-force from which all personal beings originate and into which all personal beings will ultimately be absorbed.

4. Pantheism – the belief that the universe is an emanation of God and that, therefore, all things have a divine essence. In absolute pantheism God does not exist apart from the natural cosmos. All is God.

5. Monism – the belief that all things are of one essential substance, giving rise to statements like, “I am the universe. I am one with all things.” There is no room for a dualistic view of God transcending creation, and being apart from creation, in this mindset. All is One.

6. The Divinity of Man – those who subscribe to this philosophy deify man, teaching that all men have a divine essence, giving rise to affirmations like, “I am God. You are God. We are all God.” The problem with this point of view is simple: in ascribing divinity to man, the next step is necessarily ascribing evil, darkness and sinfulness to God. All things, including the evil rampant in this world, are an emanation of God.

7. The Power To Personally And Subjectively Create Reality – Most New Agers tend to believe that reality is subjective not objective, that any person can create his or her own reality by the embracing of certain beliefs, or by making certain affirmations, declarations or confessions. This gives rise to statements such as, “You can have your truth. I can have my truth. And we can both be right simultaneously” (even if the viewpoints appear to contradict each other).

8. A Weak View Of Satan And Sin – Usually New Agers either have no belief in Satan or a weak view of the Devil. Some negate the existence of this being, equating Satan with merely the negative attitudes that dominate the world system. ‘Demons’ are merely unbeneficial or negative attitudes that tend to dominate the hearts of men and carry them away from the truth. Some groups differentiate between Satan and Lucifer, lifting the latter to the level of a divine being, even a ‘god’ (the ‘Lightbearer’). Lucifer is the one who brings wisdom and enlightenment. Man’s problem is not sin; it is ignorance – ignorance of his own divine essence. Man does not need to repent, as one accountable TO God; he needs to be enlightened, as one who IS God.]

9. Enlightenment – Most New Agers avidly seek after an ‘enlightened’ state of mind and have many terms for it (Samadhi, Nirvana, Christ-consciousness, God-consciousness, etc.). Many means are used to accomplish this: chanting, meditation, yoga disciplines, etc. There is a difference between the Christian experience of being ‘born again’ and the experience of enlightenment. The born again believer comes into a relationship with God (through the washing away of sin by the blood of Jesus). The ‘enlightened’ person comes to a realisation that he IS God.

10. Evolutionary Optimism – Most New Agers accept the coming of a ‘New Age’: a time of greater spirituality and harmony on this planet, a time when many of the problems facing the human race will be resolved.

11. The Coming Of A Messiah – Though great differences of opinion exist concerning the exact nature of this person, most New Agers await a Messiah-like figure who will be the pivot heralding and fully bringing into manifestation this ‘New Age’ in all of its facets. New Agers tend to assert that the Messiah of Judaism, the Christ of Christianity, the Fifth Buddha of Buddhism, the Imam Madhi of Islam, Saoshyant of Zoroastrianism and Kalkin of Hinduism are all to be fulfilled in one individual. However, the legends and traditions concerning these hoped-for individuals are so diverse (except for Judaism and Christianity), they cannot logically be merged into agreement.

12. A Global Family Outlook – Because of their monistic, pantheistic and syncretistic doctrinal basis, most New Agers are all-inclusive in their belief system, not exclusive. All-inclusive means ‘including all people, all cultures, and all religions into one unified whole.’ Though love for others is usually the motivation for choosing such a perspective, it makes ‘choosing’ a correct worldview unnecessary. Those who do have an exclusive view of truth are labelled unenlightened and uncooperative with this next scheduled ‘paradigm shift’ in society (the Aquarian Age). Though some aspects of this ‘one world’ mindset are good (genuine compassion for underprivileged members of the human race), in many ways it will pave the road toward things that are not good-a one world religion, a one world banking system, a one world police system and a one world political system that will eventually become tools in the hands of the AntiChrist to impose his deceptive control of the planet. Though the above twelve points are very simplistic, basically, the embracing of these beliefs signifies someone who can be labelled an adherent to “the New Age Movement.”

Maureen Ex Spiritualist’s story.

I was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire on the 3rd March 1952 having two brothers and a half sister, all much older than myself. My Mother was a spiritualist insomuch as she believed in being able to contact the spirits of the dead and frequently visited spiritualists and clairvoyants or had them come round to our home. I was brought up to believe in an after life and that the departed were constantly looking for people through whom they could communicate with the living. As a child I was always very spiritually aware and this included a strong awareness of God. My Mother’s religious inclinations were a pick and mix of what ever she felt comfortable with as she viewed it through the paradigm of spiritualists, clairvoyants and fortunetellers.

I was told that everyone had a spirit guide and mine was my grandmother. I never felt very comfortable with this in fact I always had a sense that there was something unsettling and not quite right about it all. I was told that to be able to contact the spirit world or look into the future was a gift from God and that I should develop any ‘gift’ that I had been given. The other passion in my Mothers life was dance and the theatre. She loved ballroom dancing, taking me along with her every week and then sending me to have lessons in contemporary dance and ballet. I became enthralled with dancing myself and decided that this was what I wanted to do as a career.

New Age Counterfeit Spirit Guide.

One night at the age of around twelve/thirteen I had an extremely frightening experience, which severely disrupted my life, especially my nighttime routine. I had just got into bed when some kind of fearful presence manifested in my bedroom [I would like to add here that I had not been previously spooked or upset before going to bed, it was just a normal night] This experience left me too frightened to sleep without a light on, radio on and reading myself to sleep, so traumatic was the experience.

‘…for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.’ (Bible, 2 Corinthians 11:14).

This sleep deprivation caused me to sleepwalk causing distress to myself and my parents. After visits to the doctor, a child psychiatrist, and much sleep medication they could not find anything particularly amiss with me. I didn’t feel able to articulate the incredible presence of evil I had felt that night and I didn’t think that the doctor would understand anyway. I knew no one could help me. And so I learnt to live with the fear always keeping the light on and I got on with my life.

When I left school it was to follow my chosen career in the theatre as a professional dancer. The theatre was my life and I was set on a course that was proving to be successful. During this time, along with my Mother I continued to visit clairvoyants who told me all that would happen regarding my career, and it did. They also told me that I too would become a clairvoyant if I just submitted to it. I believed this to be true, as I had always felt that I had been resisting some power since that night as a child. But I didn’t want it even though they said clairvoyance was a gift from God, which I found very confusing not realising at the time that this was a lie.

One day I came into contact with a Christian lady and in conversation I told her about my fear at night and my involvement with fortune telling. All she said was that in the bible God condemned all such activities – these words were as the sword of the spirit entering my soul, I knew she was speaking the truth and everything seemed to make sense. It wasn’t God after all, how could it be if He doesn’t allow it.

She then encouraged me to pray and ask God to protect me so I could turn the light off when I went to bed that night. I decided to do this and for the first time in years I got into bed and turned out the light. As soon as I did the evil presence I had become familiar with came into the room only this time I cried out to God to help me and protect me from it. Immediately I felt another presence all around me, it felt just like a bubble encasing me and although the other presence was still there I knew it couldn’t get to me.

Jesus is the TRUE Light of the world.

Eventually I fell asleep and awoke the next morning with the sheer joy of having slept with the light off. This lady had not shared the gospel with me but had faithfully told the truth of Gods word and that seed began to take root in my heart. Consequently the following day I had such a conviction that I had been offending God by visiting fortunetellers etc. I can remember very vividly being in the bathroom and thinking to myself whatever can I do? I had offended God by having my future foretold and placing my trust in their word and I could not see how it could be changed.

Then these words came into my mind – it wasn’t an audible voice but I knew it was coming from outside my own thoughts, I had a sense it was God speaking to me. The words were; yes that would be the life and future you would have if you continue along the path you are on but you can have a new future and a new life if you turn away from it and turn to me. This I decided to do and I remember feeling such a great sense of hope, I needed to find God and have a new life. Thus began a period of about six weeks seeking after how I could make things right.

I had already signed a contract for a summer season in Blackpool so left to begin rehearsals for that. The Christian lady I had come into contact with had given me a New Testament and I began to read first of all the book of Revelation. As I read through this last book of the bible I understood that Jesus was coming back to the earth again and how I needed to make sure I wasn’t going to suffer the fate of all who rejected Him. To cut a long story short I decided that for me, because my career was so tied up with my involvement in my predicted future, I had to turn my back on it. and give up the most precious thing in my life. It seemed pale in comparison to what I knew I needed to have.

I was invited to a Whitsun Gospel Service at a Pentecostal church in Birmingham where I heard the gospel message that Jesus had secured my new future and through His death on the cross all my offences and sin could be forgiven and I could have a new life. This was such Good News to me, it was the answer to my time of seeking that night I received the free gift of salvation and new life with God by acknowledging The Lord Jesus Christ as my saviour and became a disciple and follower of Him. I was cleansed from the past and set free from any hold or right that any spirit had over me.

I began my new life and new future as a Christian, and there began another chapter in my life.

POSTSCRIPT

I would like to add a little more to this testimony in response to a couple of questions that have been asked.

Apart from giving up my career which was so intertwined with the forces that had been predicting my future, and completely renouncing and repenting of my involvement in the occult, I don’t remember actually having much in the way of books. Whatever I had I disposed of, I didn’t burn anything but it was thrown away. I also got rid of some of my grandmother’s personal items which had been given me by my mother, having felt the need to remove any point of contact the familiar spirit masquerading as my grandmother may have used.

I do believe that to renounce and repent of a former sinful lifestyle or behaviour, especially where there has been occult involvement, means a total turning away from and keeping apart from it. In my opinion that would include TV programmes and Films of an occult genre [and there are many of them]. Not getting involved in Halloween celebrations, being careful not to get involved in any spiritual activity which is not scriptural as New Age experiences and practices seem to be creeping even into some churches. We really need to pray for spiritual discernment.

With regard to my Mother, she was extremely upset when I abandoned my career, in fact she believed that I had become involved in some strange and wacky cult for the first couple of years. We used to have frequent discussions about my faith, spiritualism and what the Bible had to say about it. She always held fast to her own experiences and ideas about God and as our discussions quite often became heated, we had to agree to disagree. I would pray for her on a regular basis – I say would because she died just last August in Spain where she had lived for the last thirty years. On one visit over to this country in 1985 she agreed to accompany me to a church meeting where to my great joy she responded to an invitation to receive Christ as her Saviour and had a powerful experience when being prayed for.

However, my joy was short lived when after two days she decided that it had all been an emotional experience brought on by being hypnotised! I continued to pray for her speaking a ‘word in season’ as the Holy Spirit gave me opportunity and I know she came to respect my faith, frequently asking me to pray for her.

When my step father died twelve years ago my mother began to attend an English Anglican church in Spain [my step father had been an atheist, although having respect for anyone who could believe]. She became confirmed and attended the church on a regular basis. I don’t know for sure my mothers eternal destination, only God knows and I have to leave her in His hands. I would like to add that I do know where my father is as I had the privilege of leading him to the Lord six months before his death twenty years ago.

From Darkness to Light – Michael a Former Freemason.

My Name is Michael Hedley. Up until January 2006, my life was a mess, I was desperately unhappy and just generally hurting and not a very nice person to be around. On the 26th of January 2006, I became a born again Christian, and my life has changed so dramatically! I now have so much contentment in my life.

I had an excellent job with all the trappings of success (and the debt to go with it of course!) Yet I did not have any contentment and if I was honest I wasn’t even that happy.

I was brought up in a Christian home where going to church and living a Christian life was the norm. By the time I reached 14 years of age I rejected this life because I wanted to taste what the world had to offer, and proceeded to taste everything that came my way. I got involved in drinking from a very young age, tried drugs and did all the ungodly things associated with this type of lifestyle.

I got married in 1980 and whilst I was reasonably happy I wasn’t totally content with my life. I carried on drinking heavily, and as I thought leading a ‘normal life’ and enjoying myself. But looking back I am not sure what I actually enjoyed about it! By now I had rejected everything my mum had brought me up to believe. My mum however never gave up on me and was praying constantly.

>In 1993 I joined Freemasonry. At that time I was totally unaware that the rituals and attitudes associated with Freemasonry go against all God’s teachings! By now my mother was exasperated and desperate for me to return to Christianity. But my rebellious nature was furious at her interference and I was enjoying the upset I was causing her. Apart from it being a false form of religion the very nature of Freemasonry drives a wedge between families as you are encouraged to attend as many lodges (meetings) as possible. It was like going to a party every night, so I was never at home. It just sucks you in without you realising it. It is like a form of brainwashing. And without you realising it your relationships have disintegrated and for many (including me), beyond the point of return.

My son was born on Boxing Day 1996 and I felt that I now had everything to make me happy! However, I had drifted so far away from God and all his teaching I had now lost sight of the things that should have been really important to me.

As I rose in the ranks of Freemasonry my drinking got worse and my misery increased. My marriage broke down completely and I went on to have a string of relationships.

I suffered a series of health problems which resulted in me losing a couple of good jobs. My life was in a downward spiral. There were two things in my life however that were rays of light. My son and my girlfriend, who has stuck with me and prayed for me, so there were now two praying women in my life!

However, due to my constant involvement in Freemasonry I had started to become abusive, arrogant, very selfish and I used to treat my girlfriend terribly, why she stayed with me I can only thank God for. I used to treat all women with contempt and I was just a horrible person to be with. I always wanted to push people away from me because I knew that I would hurt them, but I must have had a conscience because I did feel bad about hurting people, I was just so mixed up! I now know that my mum had embedded Christian values within me, but still at that time I was rejecting them.

In August of 2005 my mum, who had still been praying for me all of this time, gave me a copy of Davey Falcus’ Testimony on a CD. Davey was a violent criminal who ran criminal fraternities on Tyneside.

After I listened to his testimony, I was in floods of tears, and I didn’t realise just then that God was starting to work in my life. I knew how dark my life had become, but yet I could feel this love reaching out to me. Because I had conditioned myself to reject love I had a problem accepting it.

I was now Master of the Lodge in Freemasonry, which is the top position in the lodge which you hold for one year. When you attain this position, you are expected to visit other lodges in order to encourage members from another lodge to visit your lodge, this also meant that I had to be out nearly every night of the week. My drinking got so bad that year that I still can’t believe I managed to hold down my job. Darkness in my life had now reached such a point where something had to give and again my health was to suffer.

I was still progressing in Freemasonry and was forging ahead joining other degrees (different ceremonies), which are higher level than the basic degrees I had joined, some of the things that happened in those meetings were just plain bizarre and it wasn’t until after I was a born again Christian, that I realised just how much the whole of Freemasonry and its rituals, were completely against God’s word.

In November of 2005 I was diagnosed with having pneumonia and ended up in hospital. I was suffering with the most intense chest pains and my breathlessness was severe. When I arrived at the hospital I honestly thought I was going to die. A few days later I was rushed back to the hospital this time in an ambulance, and again the chest pains I was experiencing were just incredible. In my mind I knew that if this was a time for repentance then this was it! I now know that this was God graciously bringing me closer to him and giving me a second chance.

My mum had watched me self destruct over many years and she must have been wrecked with pain and heartache seeing what I was doing with my life, but she never gave up hope, she prayed and kept on forgiving me for all of the hurt I caused her. She was about to have all her prayers answered in the next couple of months, because God knew precisely the right time, that I would give my life to Him!

That time was the 26th Of January 2006. I was still suffering from incredible chest pains, and I was getting more and more worried, that this was going to kill me. My mum asked me if I would go and meet her pastor (Davey Falcus). So I thought “why not I have nothing left to lose!” After talking with him for over three hours, challenging him on many things I thought were false about Christianity, he asked me where I was with my faith. I really didn’t know how to answer him, but something inside was saying I want to believe that Jesus can change me!

He prayed for me and my chest pain disappeared immediately. I had never really believed in this kind of healing even though I had witnessed it many times in my youth. But sure enough the pain had gone.

Later that night, at home, I got on my knees and gave my life to the Lord. The peace that came over me was like nothing I had ever experienced, I felt different, I felt that something major had happened. It had!! God had changed my life in an instant. My mum must have been dancing when I told her, she would have been so happy, 34 years of prayer and she had never given up hope.

Over the next few days my life began to change, I stopped swearing, started reading a bible and the words in the bible started slowly to have meaning for me. My drinking reduced till eventually I stopped altogether, I didn’t want to hurt people any more and God started healing me of my own hurts. I started to attend church and began learning how to pray. Because I am a singer I was invited to join the worship team singing and playing guitar.

I want to let as many people know about Jesus and how He can change your life from misery to happiness, how he can heal people from their long term addictions and how he can set you free from doing awful things. I want to let people know that they are loved and that God has a plan for their lives to change them, give them peace, joy happiness and hope. Most importantly Jesus said no man can enter the kingdom of heaven unless he is born again, and that no man can come to God unless through Him (Jesus). You can’t get into heaven by just being good, by worshiping false Gods, or giving to charity! There is only one God!

A few months after I became a Christian God gave me the gift of writing Christian songs, and more recently I have recorded these songs onto a CD, called Living Waters, which is now available on my website and is helping to bring hope and peace into the lives of people who hear it. The songs on this CD represent my journey so far since I became a Christian, and the words express my joy that Jesus’ amazing grace has saved a wretch like me. And He can do the same for you! I have since appeared on Genesis TV and many people have contacted me through this for help with Masonry issues

Jesus died on the cross 2000 years ago for my sins and the sins of all mankind, He is alive today and he can take away sadness, he can heal your broken heart, he can set you free from violence and misery and give you peace, he can change your future from an eternity in Hell to an eternity in Heaven. He has a plan for your life, to change your life and all you have to do to accept him is to say this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I know I am a Sinner, I have done many bad things in my life. I want to invite you into my life as my friend and my Saviour. Forgive me for all of my sins, I repent of my sins and I am really sorry for all the bad things I have done in my life. Help me to turn away from those things and help me to live my life as a Christian. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you laid down your life for me on the Cross. Heal me, forgive me and lead me to an eternity with you Lord Jesus. Amen.

If you have said this prayer and really mean it, you are born again (saved). Find a church to go to, get a bible and the Lord will let you know how to live your life through the words in the Bible.

Jesus said ” Unless you are born again you cannot see the Kingdom of God”(John 3:5). “For God So Loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but will have eternal life” (John 3:16)

Accept Him into your life and let him change you forever.

EX Satanist Jerry Blase on The 9 Satanic Statements.

He told me “It was Heavy Metal music and also Horror/Occult movies that first attracted me to the devil, and it grew from there.

That’s why I am strong on warning people of what they listen to and what they watch. You know like I do my sister…there are indeed spirits attached to that garbage.

I began as a LeVay Satanist, then I began to turn more toward traditional (or theistic) Satanism, and I began to see the devil as a deity.

I was very much into European Black Metal too. I was into bands like Cradle of Filth, Darkthrone, Emperor, and Mayhem. Here in the states I followed other bands like Deicide and Morbid Angel and Slayer. I was also very into Danzig and the the Misfits.”

LOST IN SATAN FOUND BY CHRIST

I am an Ex-satanist who has become a Christian …

There are many pacts with the devil in this world.

I thought those were some really splendid times in my life, those mid-1990’s when I went to band practice, eager to utter those satanic/anti-Christian song lyrics through a microphone, with heavy bass, loud guitars, and progressive drums behind me. It seems like I was on a mission of some kind, as if I had an agenda, one that now makes no sense to me, and all I see was a man with no true identity or purpose in life.

Sure, I did own many various books, doctrines, and essays on Occultism, specifically “Left Hand Path” and anything Satanic and/or Luciferian. The first book I have ever read cover to cover was Anton Szandor Lavey’s “Satanic Bible” which is really atheist/agnostic ideology with a satanic cloak, borrowing from traditional rituals and the like, and thus, calling itself “Satanism.”

Although it does actually serve the devil nonetheless, if you were to look at the whole picture. This is because the devil comes in all forms, shapes, and sizes, all the while simple minded and self-absorbed people never notice. That’s also what he wants. The devil robs a man of his faith, self-esteem, identity, will, common sense, and his character.

I recall an old Greek philosopher named Heraclitus once quoting that “Character is destiny” which is interesting. I surely am not placing faith in human philosophy but I do like this saying. Destiny is among the most precious things about who you truly are (if you are in Jesus Christ). But destiny without Christ is eternal damnation and death. But remember also, “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26) and that includes God being your eternal destiny by Him changing your life! Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice (John 10:27), and in verse 28 did Jesus say, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”

The enemy certainly works overtime to take all that you have away from you, especially if it be your lifelong ambition to make your destiny eternal life with God. As the devil tempted the Lord Jesus Christ in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11, Mark 1:12-13, Luke 4:1-13), he shall most certainly make it his primary agenda to tempt YOU. Never doubt that for a second. In the NT of the Bible, it reads in 1 Peter 5:8—-“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” And among the things that happen when one is devoured by the adversary, is that he does all within his power to become your “destiny” so to speak, and this happens when you walk in the character of him who devours rather then in the character of Christ.

Is this the fate that is predestined for you? Is this God’s plan for you? If you have the slightest bit of conscience within you, then you best hear His voice and stop following after the deceptions of death and destruction! Christ can make us all well, but as He also said to the lame man that He healed near the pool of Bethesda….”Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worst may happen to you.” (John 5:14). And remember, the enemy of God wants nothing but the WORST for you!

And what is destiny? The Merriam/Webster Dictionary identifies destiny as: DESTINY 1: something to which a person or thing is destined: FATE, FORTUNE 2. a predestined course of events.

And while looking at the word “destiny” we should also consider what is said about the word “destine” as well: DESTINE 1. to settle in advance 2: to designate, assign, or dedicate in advance 3: to direct or set apart for a specific purpose or place.

Obviously, the enemy of God wants you to keep sinning. He wants you to be all that is humanly possible, to offend, betray, and detach yourself from God. God does not condemn us, nor does His adversary, We condemn ourselves! In the definition for “destine” it says in 1. to “settle in advance” which is what many foolishly do with their lives before they go onto the next, they “settle in advance” to serve the wrong god. Have you ever heard the term to make a “pact with the devil?” This hypothetically, is what many who are led astray do, they make a pact with the devil.

Remember what Jesus said to the Pharisees, “You are of your father THE DEVIL and the lusts of your father you will do.” (John 8:44). No, they may not have ever signed a literal contract or said with their mouths “we serve the devil” but, through their actions they surely did. Is this you as well? Have you ever taken a serious analysis of your actions? Perhaps it is time you should, if you have not already. There are many “Pacts with the devil” out there in the world, those who through ignorance and conformity make hypothetical contracts with God’s enemy, and they are those who need to have ears to hear!

The deadly influences of conformity.

And what is conformity? The Merriam/Webster Dictionary says this in regard to conformity: CONFORMITY 1: HARMONY, AGREEMENT 2: COMPLIANCE, OBEDIENCE. To even further grasp this, let us also look at the word “Conform” according to the same dictionary: CONFORM 1: To be similar or identical; also: AGREE 2: to obey customs or standards; also: COMPLY.

So imagine this, when the enemy of God entices you with a lust, a habit, or something that offends God, you are automatically conforming to HIS will and not GODS. You are, according to the above definitions, in agreement with the devil, you are in compliance with him, and you are offering your obedience to the DEVIL rather then to GOD. You want to conform to ungodly standards, to be “similar or identical” to that which offends God your Creator. Have you ever looked at it from such a perspective? Does it even so much as remotely concern you? It should.

Conformity is a powerful tool, used by the negative forces that oppose God, it is used in the sense of conforming you to become a clone of that which hates God. And not only does this conforming force hate God, it also hates YOU. This is what so many are oblivious to, and this is unfortunate. When I confessed to be a Satanist, I was a clone of Gods enemy, as well was I a clone of MY enemy as well! Many Satanists will often boast of how they oppose conformity, and call those “weak” who conform to the world, however, they themselves are among the most devout conformists upon the face of the earth. It was also through this very act of conformity, that was directing me in a path of mental, physical, and spiritual destruction.

I was basically conforming to not only Gods adversary, but also my own and this adversary wanted me DEAD. Dark and negative forces prey upon us with deceit and perverse doctrine. People are often influenced by what they read in books, they take for granted that because it is a published book by some known personality, that its contents must be true. This reminds me of such quotes as the following by Jewish Philosopher/Theologian Maimonides which says, “Do not consider it proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen.”

Now, whether you be Jewish, Christian, or any faith for that matter, I would think with an open mind and common sense logic, that one could not truthfully disagree with that quote. That is because it goes on all of the time within this world, that’s why we have what is called “organized religion” and “legalism” and thousands on top of thousands of denominations and traditions, all claiming that THEY are the pathway to the truth. And, although I do appreciate philosophy and the many philosophers in history, I also will confess, that no matter how great or vast we humans may believe our minds can be, our minds shall never be of the infinite greatness and power as to that of the living God.

In fact, I have realized, that there is nothing that the majority of philosophers or theologians will teach, that is not taught in the Bible already, which tells me that God has it covered and is countless steps ahead of our finite minds. This is why among my favorite Bible verses is Colossians 2:8 which says—–“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy or empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” And some may ask, “Why Christ?” The reason it is Christ, is because He was not only of God, sent by God, and for God, but He was also the pathway to God. I shall speak more on this before I close.

For those who don’t think that Halloween has Satanic implications, please consider these words of Anton LaVey.

A basic overview on Satanism.

Nonetheless, man still shall stumble over his own “god complex” and this is why there is so much theological, philosophical, religious confusion, and conflict in our world. Of course, the adversary (the devil) is noticing this, and like a wolf that preys upon sheep, he takes great advantage of this opportunity. What better way to lead people astray, then to come through the greatest myth known to the human race…..RELIGION. As a result of this great illusion with all of its apparent hypocrisies, more will be inclined to either become atheists, agnostics or will explore the Occult with all of it’s various paths that have not a thing to do with God, but the complete opposite. As I have already confessed, I was once a Satanist. I began my path through the teachings of Anton Szandor LaVey, and then, I began to explore Theistic (traditional) Satanism, and luciferianism. I also explored many other numerous paths of occultism such as Golden Dawn, Ordo Templi Orientis, Theosophy, Kabbala, the Greater and Lesser Keys of Solomon, and the writings of Cornilius Aggrippa. However, it was always “Satanism” that I was most driven by, inspired by, and motivated by. The left hand path was the way I confessed, it is what I most spoke with my ignorant, destructive and blasphemous mouth. I shall give a brief overview of what Satanism is in a general sense for those who are not familiar.

Theistic Satanism, also known as Traditional Satanism, is the belief that Satan is an actual deity or force worthy of reverence or worship. Within Theistic Satanism there are a wide variety of beliefs. Their concept of Satan is not based on the works of Anton LaVey, whose Satanism is not the worship of Satan but a form of individualism using Satan as a symbol of man living in accordance with his nature. Basically, the Laveyian path is Atheist and/or Agnostic and believes that the true “god” is self. Both types of Satanist may believe in magic (magick), and use ritual, but Theistic Satanists also believe in Satan as basically an independent agent. There are also other paths that are “luciferian” and have a varying belief system then those of “Satanists” but, they all share one basic common bond, and that is to lead people away from God, because ALL of these paths are adversaries of God and despisers of truth. They are connected by ONE opposing force of mankind and this world, ruling over it for a time, with a very serious and real agenda against the human race, because human beings are in fact created in the image of the living God.

A typical example of how your true adversary wants to destroy you, is by what is confessed in the Nine Satanic Statements by the late Anton Szandor Lavey. The C.O.S claims to not believe in an actual Satan, but, the nine satanic statements do in fact match perfectly, the persona of who and what Satan is. Of course, when I did not walk the path I do today, I lived by these statements, however, I also have come to realize that I was wrong, very wrong. The statements are as follows, with my response to each statement in bold print…

The Nine Satanic Statements:

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence! (From the eyes of a mere spectator, I have noticed that the majority of those who represent indulgence rather then abstinence, either end up alone, self-tormented, or dead before their time.)

2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams! (Vital existence is also the reason why so many actually smoke the pipe. This is also where the faith of lost people rests, however, true faith knows the spirit. The spirit is much like the air we breathe, you cannot see it with the naked eye, but it is the core of your very existence. As a satanist I did not exist, because my identity wasn’t even mine to have. This is what satanists refuse to realize because they see God only through the eyes of a conditioned mind.)

3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit! (Actually, Satan represents hypocritical self-deceit instead of undefiled wisdom.)

4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates! (The greatest deception in life, is to believe that love can be wasted. As a satanist I believed this and as a result I was a very bitter individual. Often, the greatest love is unseen love. To believe it is ever wasted, means it was never in ones heart to begin with. With that being said, who now is the ingrate?)

5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek! (Yes, this is true. It is also true that a vast percentage of the prison populations in the world, are incarcerated because of “vengeance” rather then “turning the other cheek.” This statement is one of pure foolishness.)

6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires! (This is quite self-contradictory since everything about Satan, believe in him or not, is “psychic vampirism.” This term is used to basically mean a spiritually or emotionally weak person who drains vital energy from other people. In Truth, I have even known supposed “Christians” who have this flaw, but they are usually those who follow not the Christ they claim with their tongues. That’s how Satan works by the way, through spiritual misguidance to drain people. When we are drained of our energy, we have no strength in us to know the truth, and that’s what a psychic vampire does, because they are also the greatest deceivers as well spirit draining. Organized religion itself, is psychic vampirism. Christ himself called the “religious” of His time “of the devil” in John 8:44.)

7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all! (Yes, this is true, man IS the most vicious animal of all….this comes from the influences of Satan himself as well. This is why humankind needs a mediator between himself and God. That mediator is Christ. Christ also said that “Satan” is the father of lies, while the truth shall set us free. So man doesn’t have to be the most vicious animal of all, he can be set free. This freedom is found through Jesus Christ, not the devil. The viciousness of man comes not from God but because of mans abuse of his own free choice, because he follows the voice of satan.)

8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification! ( …and ultimately ones own self-destruction. And you dont have to take my word for it either. Just take a look at the death rates among those who suffered from HIV, HEP-C, VD, Liver Disease, Lung Cancer, Heart Failure, Stroke, diabetes etc….all from living the pleasures of their “sins” like drugs, alcohol abuse, wreckless sex, bad diets, hard living and so on. It appears to me that the physical, mental, and emotional gratification of sin may feel quit pleasurable for the moment, they also can bring upon a person quite a suffering and morbid death. Satan may tell you its worth it, but is it?)

9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years! (That also depends on what “church” this is truthfully in regard to. Nonetheless, after looking at history, organized religion and its influence on oblivious people does seem to reveal who it’s best friend truly is. However, there are “churches” and there are CHURCHES. So, perhaps business has been good throughout the years, but keep in mind, the churches not of Christ shall one day be going out of business, and not only out of business but permanently bankrupt.)

After reading the above nine satanic statements, one can now see how a great percentage of Satanists walk their paths, and who they are among us. I know this rather well beings I was once one of them, or at least thought I was, until the TRUTH found me, and that is what I have chosen to follow now, because it is TRUTH that sets us free…not LIES. The adversary of God is a liar, make no mistake about it, and with those very lies, does he hope to be the cause of your ruination and ultimate annihilation. He inspires this through making one feel completely nonconformist to a misguided system, and liberated from the bondage of a society with no identity of its own. However, the very things you are led to believe you are liberated from, are the very things that in all actuality have you in bondage, kept in a box while making you believe you are free and at one with your life. How can this be though, when choosing to live as such, you are allowing deception to violate you, perhaps giving you temporary gratification, while permanently ruining you, even though you may not see it.

A further analysis of the adversary.

Easton’s Bible Dictionary gives the following on Satan: Adversary; accuser. When used as a proper name, the Hebrew word so rendered has the article “the adversary” (Job 1:6-12; 2:1-7). In the New Testament it is used as interchangeable with Diabolos, or the devil, and is so used more than thirty times. He is also called “the dragon,” “the old serpent” (Revelation 12:9; 20:2); “the prince of this world” (John 12:31; 14:30); “the prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2); “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4); “the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2). The distinct personality of Satan and his activity among men are thus obviously recognized. He tempted our Lord in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). He is “Beelzebub, the prince of the devils” (12:24). He is “the constant enemy of God, of Christ, of the divine kingdom, of the followers of Christ, and of all truth; full of falsehood and all malice, and exciting and seducing to evil in every possible way.” His power is very great in the world. He is a “roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Men are said to be “taken captive by him” (2 Timothy 2:26). Christians are warned against his “devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11), and called on to “resist” him (James 4:7). Christ redeems his people from “him that had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Hebrews 2:14). Satan has the “power of death,” not as lord, but simply as executioner.

The Strong’s Hebrew Lexicon offers the following descriptions of Satan: 7853 Satan saw-tan’ a primitive root; to attack, (figuratively) accuse:–(be an) adversary, resist. 7854 satan saw-tawn’ from 7853; an opponent; especially (with the article prefixed) Satan, the arch-enemy of good:–adversary, Satan, withstand.

The Greek Lexicon further offers the following: 476. antidikos an-tid’-ee-kos from 473 and 1349; an opponent (in a lawsuit); specially, Satan (as the arch-enemy):–adversary. 623. Apolluon ap-ol-loo’-ohn active participle of 622; a destroyer (i.e. Satan):–Apollyon. 954. Beelzeboul beh-el-zeb-ool’ of Chaldee origin (by parody on 1176); dung-god; Beelzebul, a name of Satan:–Beelzebub. 955. Belial bel-ee’-al of Hebrew origin (1100); worthlessness; Belial, as an epithet of Satan:–Belial. 1228. diabolos dee-ab’-ol-os from 1225; a traducer; specially, Satan (compare 7854):–false accuser, devil, slanderer. 2190. echthros ech-thros’ from a primary echtho (to hate); hateful (passively, odious, or actively, hostile); usually as a noun, an adversary (especially Satan):–enemy, foe. 2725. kategoros kat-ay’-gor-os from 2596 and 58; against one in the assembly, i.e. a complainant at law; specially, Satan:–accuser. 2888. kosmokrator kos-mok-fat’-ore from 2889 and 2902; a world-ruler, an epithet of Satan:–ruler. 3789. ophis of’-is probably from 3700 (through the idea of sharpness of vision); a snake, figuratively, (as a type of sly cunning) an artful malicious person, especially Satan:–serpent. 4566. Satan sat-an’ of Hebrew origin (7854); Satan, i.e. the devil:–Satan. Compare 4567. 4567. Satanas sat-an-as’ of Chaldee origin corresponding to 4566 (with the definite affix); the accuser, i.e. the devil:–Satan.

The characteristics of Satan, will be quite obvious through those who walk in his shadow. As Satan himself, those who follow him, whether they are actual worshippers of the devil or not, all tend to share the following characteristics as mentioned within the above from the Hebrew and Greek lexicons: Adversary, accuser, slanderer, enemy of, an opponent, and hateful. From personal experience, I have known Satanists who became so hateful and intensely angry at the mere mention of “God” or “Jesus Christ” that is was actually disturbing. What is even more disturbing, was I myself was like them! I will not share the details, but I was never exactly pleasant with Christians who would try to witness to me, and my attitude was one of resentment, inner anger and mockery. And of course, I would be hateful and rude almost always. However, as surely as I am writing this now, I tell you wholeheartedly, that this is not truth, and it will ultimately give us nothing more then failure, spiritual loss, and self-destruction in more ways then we wish to see. I am compelled to share the incident in Genesis 3, when the fall of the human race occured. I want to give mention to this, because it can be seen through human nature each and everyday, in one way, shape or form.

Genesis 3:1-6—–“1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'” 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.”

Now, when we read such things as the following….”Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence” (Satanic Statement 1), and….”Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification” (Satanic Statement 8) they blatantly reveal where they are rooted, especially from a group that believes “man is his own god.” In the above scripture from Genesis 3, the words of the serpent say that very thing….”YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD.”

You see, it doesn’t matter what path of “Satanist” one may be, or whether they wish to actually believe in a Satan or not, the truth of the matter is, there IS an unseen enemy, a “force” so to speak, and it indeed exists within our universe. It is as real as entropy itself, in fact, this adversary IS Entropy! From a more scientific point of view, the Second Law of Thermodynamics is exactly what happens to a person spiritually, who surrenders to the devil. You may or may not take that seriously, but I am confident it is the truth. No matter what type of so-called “Satanist” one may be, they are fulfilling the agenda of this unseen adversary, all the while as it destroys you, and it could careless how much you praise it, applaud it, or wish to be like it….it DOES NOT appreciate you, it HATES you, and wants you DESTROYED. The very CHRIST that Satanists insist on resenting so much, is the hand that CAN pull them from the grip of deception! How unfortunate though, that many on top of many, absorbed by this profound lie, fail to know this.

This adversary also WANTS to be worshipped. The bible clearly tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4—–“3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” It then goes onto say in verses 9 & 10 the following—–” 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

No, I am not condemning anyone, nor am I here to throw damnation or hellfire and brimstone into peoples faces, nonetheless, I am revealing to those who may be unaware, that there is much more to what we know within this physical realm. There is also much more to life, death, and the universe as we know it. Many people are “prisoners” because they refuse to see more to themselves and life beyond the whole “here and now” way of thinking. This life is full of deceptions, illusions, false representation, and contempt for truth. I have come to realize, that Christ sets us free from contempt, deception, and a spiritual prison that has such a powerful influence on people who refuse to see life as it truly exists, because they are more infatuated with “death” all the while seeing it as “life.” This is not truth.

And what is TRUTH?

Truth is the greatest thing we as human beings can ever come to know. Truth is also the most misunderstood thing we can ever search for. We search for it in religion, but truth is not the giver of religion, because there is simply not a religion on earth greater then the truth. Truth is said to be seen in science, but how can it be seen by those within science who do not believe in truth? Without faith truth is not seen, the Bible explains to us the following—-“1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:1-3). So, what is the “word” of God? The Bible says the following to us in the beginning of John’s Gospel—-“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1-5). As Pontius Pilate asked Jesus, “what is truth?” this same question we all ask, in one way or another. A part of being human is to search for the “truth” whether we see it or not. Jesus Christ said that He is the TRUTH the way and the life, yet when Pilate was looking right at Jesus he asked “What is truth?” He was completely unaware that the TRUTH was right before his eyes.

So again, Jesus Christ (the Word) said—–“I am the truth, the way, and the life, no one comes unto the Father but by me” (John 14:6). The Word is also the fulfillment of the “law” and by being imitators of the Word, do we then have an understanding of “truth” as it is, for what it is. This truth is also without end, and it extends it’s hand to those willing to take hold of it. Truth says “I AM.” Let those who have ears hear! As for myself? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says—–“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” This is what I tell myself each and everyday. I tell myself this, because I shall never allow my past entry into my future, because the future is who I am, as my past was who I never knew, as well does it reflect that I never was. In Christ though, I know who I am! That ultimately is what the devil does, he robs you of yourself, from yourself, but not for yourself, but for him. A Satanist may know “what” being a Satanist is, but do they truly know “why” they are a Satanist? I honestly never knew why I was a satanist, but I surely know why I am a Christian. For myself, I know that Christ still does cure the blind, I know this perhaps greater then many, because I was cured of my blindness, and I now see. What I see, I shall never let go of, no matter how many times I fall, it shall only make me raise myself up again, with even greater hope, truth, and promise in my heart. That I also give to God. A stolen heart brings defeat, a given heart brings victory, because victory is regaining yourself. This can only be found in God through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thoughts as an EX Spiritualist.

As an EX Spiritualist, I remember Mediums would say Halloween was the best night of the year to contact spirits; so called ‘Spirit Guides’ and alleged ‘dead relatives’! Derek Acorah, the UK’s best known Medium still says this today. Is that not a telling statement, considering it’s also the most evil night of the year for Satanists?!

Could it be that Mediums find seances easiest on Halloween, simply because there are more spirits around, having been summoned by certain types of Satanists, during their annual Satanic celebrations & rituals on 31st October? Yet Mediums don’t seem to see that possible link, or consider that their ‘spirits’ could actually be evil impostors & demonic in nature.

For those who don’t think that Halloween has Satanic implications, please consider these words of Anton LaVey.

I’ve been honoured to speak about Halloween in churches & radio interviews about H’een since 2008, including one with an EX Satanist in 2011, Steve Burns from Canada. From our experience, we explained that EX Occultists know truths on Halloween, so it’s perhaps worth hearing their true stories, before you make decisions on any Halloween party invitations you may receive.

Should Christians Participate in Halloween?

Some say, when they participate in Halloween it’s just fun, pretending to be goblins, devils, etc, & they don’t literally participate in any actual Occult activity. Maybe so, but pretending to be such things is a form of imitation. Does the Bible encourage anything like Halloween or imitation of it? 3 John 1:11 ‘Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good.’ And also, Ephes 5:11 ‘do not imitate the deeds of darkness but rather expose them …’ ‘Abstain from all appearance of evil,’ 1 Thessalonians 5:22 and Ephesians 5, 1-2. 1 ‘Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love …’

If you even go to a Halloween event as a guest, you are, condoning it before the Lord and in the eyes of those attending. Also in a sense ‘partnering’ with the very spirit of Halloween. Indeed with any occult spirits that may actually be there waiting for the possibility, or opportunities, that Occult activities may occur. They know this can give them an open door into people’s lives.

Spiritual Implications.

Even if, at it’s basic level, it’s simply producing a fear in the hearts of children. We mustn’t be ignorant of the wiles of the enemy. Spirits do indeed wander around looking for ‘open doors’. They are intelligent and know when and where events are occurring in your city. As opportunists they will plan where they are going next. Remember when Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, the scripture says he waited until an opportune time. ‘When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.’ (Luke 4:13). His demons do the same today.

‘…for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.’ (Bible, 2 Corinthians 11:14).

Ultimately, for Christians, what are you actually celebrating or impersonating on Halloween? What is there to praise or celebrate about ghouls, goblins, devils, fear, death, blood and gore! Jesus is Life. He came to bring peace and life. Life in abundance.

What Can Christians Do?

Perhaps, we could all consider organising a prayer night on Halloween instead, praying for the practical safety of kids who go Trick or Treating, and also the spiritual protection of those in our neighbourhoods who may be forced into being involved in some darker activities on this night. A meeting for praise and worship to glorify Christ and change the focus of this night would be welcomed by many I feel. Does your church do that? If not, why not organise such a night!

Lighten the night!

I’ve been saved since 1994, but can’t remember hearing of an adult prayer night on H’een, until 2012! I guess it could be just because most Christians are unaware of what spirits do that night, the spiritual activity or what actually can occur that night, (e.g., if there’s any Traditional Satanists in our cities planning animal & human abuse and sacrifices). Or maybe most churches aren’t bold enough to take it on, or are concerned their church members may worry about some facts of Halloween, so it’s best to ignore it, not mention it or give the devil any attention!

But prevention is better than cure. If we pray on Halloween, our prayers could prevent someone being a victim of SRA, and maybe that same person would actually find your church and seek your help after the crime! So why not pray before such things occur?

I’ve hated the years I spent on H’een when I was just sitting at home praying, when we could have been gathered in a big prayer meeting somewhere! I know some Christian groups in the USA will be fasting & praying all day of 31st October. It’d be great if more Christians could encourage Christians in their own city and country to do this too.

What I Did Last Halloween.

Last year, on Halloween 2012, I was invited to go with a group of Christians to set up a stall and offer pray to people who were having a huge Halloween street party. It was a Samhuiin/Samhain Festival ran by New Agers & Occultists on the night of Halloween. There were adults and children dressed in costumes and exploring New Age and Occult activities.

There was loud frightening music, Druid style processions and many stalls too, e.g., Mediums offering psychic readings or ‘Ghost Tours’ around the area that night. There were New Age and Occult book stalls too. I was so glad I went and so grateful to the Lord, that some of those people who came to us asking for prayer, experienced Jesus and some even received physical healing from Him! We gave out leaflets so they could follow up on their journey towards Jesus as Saviour.

We are called to be salt and light, and take His light into areas of darkness. I would definately do that again and encourage any of you to pray about whether to do the same on Halloween too!
